If we add on the memory maker as an advanced purchase, will all photos taken during our time at the world be available for us to download, or are there additional charges to download?

Just trying to find a way out of carrying the DSLR this trip...

Memory maker doesn't activate until you download your first photo. So all photos are included in the price, as long as it's at least 3 days in advance.

Yes, all your photos will be available to download without additional cost with advance purchase. If your doing character meals you probably will still want to bring your camera though.

I have a question about downloading Memory Maker photos. I did not purchase Memory Maker in advance of our Dec. trip. With the holidays and all, I'm just now getting around to even looking at the photos online. We did one free Visa card download session and I just downloaded those 5 free photos. I'm thinking now I might just go ahead and buy Memory Maker for $169 and get all the photos instead of only getting one or two photos. I remember reading that photos are available to download 45 days after being taken (and some photos I looked at are labeled as being available through Jan. 16, Jan. 17, etc.). But after I downloaded the free Visa card photos I remember reading something about 7 days from downloading. Did that just mean those Visa photos were available for 7 days after download or does that mean all Memory Maker photos are available only for 7 days from the first download (Visa)? I'm confused and don't want my photos to disappear before I have time to edit them. I know I've read somewhere you should download them "as is" first, then go back and edit. Can anyone clarify this for me??

The "7 days" just means they sit in the "my downloads" section of the site for that long. You can keep downloading as many times as you want even after that 7 days is up. They just have to be put there again in order to do it. I always download the set of unedited photos before editing, just in case I forget to create a copy and end up without the original.

Do I need to buy MM prior to my trip or can I add it onsite or upon my return from home?
