Memory Maker?

we loved memory maker - had over 400 pictures before the halloween party and before doubles with stickers/frames/etc... - ended up with about 900 on my photo disk i ordered (cost is seperate)

we have already put it in our package for this year and will get it every time we go

Do you mean that when I go down Splash Mountain, the camera knows if I have Memory Maker, so I don't need to stop at the photo counter to get the picture added to my account?

Not exactly. It'll work whether you have Memory Maker or not. If you don't have Memory Maker, you just go to the PhotoPass site and enter your Magic Band ID number(s), and any pictures associated with those Magic Bands will show up.

We are family sharing Memory Maker with another family. They are buying the Memory Maker and will link it to their MDE app. My family consists of me, my DW, DD10, and DS6. All of our Magic Bands are under my MDE account. If my friend with the Memory Maker links to my account, will all 4 of our Magic Bands be linked to the Memory Maker?

If we want to view our photos during/after the trip, will we have to login to their MDE account?

As long as your family is on the other family's Friends and Family list, you're good. You'll be able to view the pictures, but only your friend can edit or download them.

We are purchasing mm for our trip. My question is this:
we are going from sat 8/22 until sun 8/30. We have family that are linked to our mde account but they are not leaving until 9/2. Will the mm still work for them on the days after we leave I'd I am the account holder?

No problem.

My question is.. When I signed up for Memory Maker it said it was attached to one person ? Does that mean only pictures with my band/me in the picture show up?

No, that means that only one person is in charge of the Memory Maker entitlement, which means that only that person can do edits to the pictures and can then download them. Like I said in post #42, as long as everyone in your group is on your Friends and Family list, their pictures will show up.

If the other family purchased memory maker then they would link MM to their MDE account and you would link your MDE account to theirs. You can call Disney Photopass services, 407 560 4300, to get the details. When properly linked together everyone with a magic band linked to the MDE account with memory maker, all in their family and all in your family, can capture photos /videos from rides, meet & greets and photopass locations all around the resorts. Let everyone know to freely use the photopass photographers. You do not have to be all together or be with the other family to use. Everyone with a linked MB can use as an individual or in a group. The photographer will swipe the MB of one person from each photoshot. Don't forget to ask for magic shots. The ride photos are captured automatically but you can tap your MB to make sure.

The primary MDE account with memory maker will be the only account that can view and edit the photos. Have them check mydisneyphotopass website often to make sure all photos are captured during the trip. After your trip, via their account, you can view and edit (add borders, minor editing) the photos. The photos will remain on the website que for 45 days from when they were taken. When you finish editing the photos from their account then they can download photos to their computer then make copies to give to you.

Call photopass services to make sure you have it set up the way you need. They are very helpful and your situation is exactly the way it was intended to be used.

What if only 2 out of 9 members of your party have magic bands? Can the entire party still access and use memory maker?

The primary MDE account with memory maker will be the only account that can view and edit the photos.

The person that the Memory Maker entitlement is assigned to is the only one who can edit the pictures, but anyone in your Friends and Family list that you have allowed access can view them:

Yes. They'll just have to get cards from the photographers. I think though that only guests with Magic Bands can get the ride videos.

Thanks for the response.

Is it 45 days from the day the picture was taken, or 45 days from the day a picture is downloaded from the account?

Also, we'll have access to their password, so I think that means they don't need to make copies for us, and we can just login from our computers to download.

Where do you find the MB ID number? Ours hasn't shipped yet and our prior trips didn't include MBs. I'm thinking of buying a MM for our group but would like to add our son who's going with another group on our MM

45 days from when the picture was taken. If you view the photos on the website the date taken and location are given but if you double click the pic, as to edit, then you'll see the date that the photo will expire. So pics taken from different days will have different expiration dates.

I'm still in the 45 day phase and have not downloaded yet. I was told when you download you have 30 days( from download date) to capture more photos. I was hoping to test this with another impromtu trip next month but that's not gonna happen, so the 30 day thing is not tested by my account.

Another thing to mention. The MDE account that purchased the memory maker can view, edit and download the photos. Any linked accounts can view the photos. They do have the ability to edit the photos but any photos they edit will not be included in the download. In other words, if you want to edit photos, make sure you do it in the MDE account that made the purchase.

Are there sill any photo share groups out there anywhere like on Facebook? MM is just not worth it for one person on a tight budget. :-( How can a second family edit photos in the other persons account?

So I am trying to understand this, a purely hypothetical situation...

I purchase and link MM to my account. My family travels to WDW on August 12. We check out and leave on August 19. Our very good friends, who are on my family and friends list, arrive at wdw on August 23. Would all of their pictures fall under my MM account and be available to download?

Yes I do believe so. You could always call photo services to ask for a specific trip. We did purchase memory maker. Made a trip 25 Jan thru 30 Jan. Made another trip with inlaws in 15 thru 18 Feb. They (inlaws) were linked to my account and stayed with us under the same resort reservation. They did come down a couple days earlier than we did. Stayed off site and all thier photos, taken before and after we arrived, were on my account and downloaded.

I think memory maker is pricey but worth the $$$ for a few reasons.
1 I take most of our family pictures so unless Disney takes them I am not in our pics. All of our entire family pics are Disney Memory Maker pics.
2 The kids listen to the picture CMs and smile when asked.
3 You can use the boarders and Addins to block out background items and unknown people Etc when finishing your pics.
4 If you do not want to take a single picture you can have tons of great pictures just from Disney Picture CMs and rides. So for folks that cannot or do not want to take pics this is a great option. And when I cannot or do not want to take pics it is nice to have a few ride or CM pics to fill in some pics at the end of our trip.
One other note; after some rides like test track and dinosaur they do show your photos on overhead TVs and you can touch your magic band to match up your pics. Not sure if you have to do this after some rides but we usually do.

So worth the money (make sure you preorder)...
