Memory maker help!

Hi! I was wondering if anyone here has purchased the memory maker. We purchased it for our upcoming trip and the confirmation email made it sound like only the person with the entitlement could add ride photos. I know we can all add regular photos but our email said ride and dining photos were different. We have to split up for some rides because we have a toddler with us so want to make sure we can all add ride photos. Any help would be great!

Anyone attached to your friends and family list can add any type of photo, but only the person with the MM entitlement attached to them can DOWNLOAD the photos.

Correct. Anyone can add pictures as long as you are linked to them on MDE and you have the share pictures option checked, you will see the photos.

Only one person can download the photos.

Hope this is correct because a CM I spoke to on the telephone said only the person who has the entitlement can add the ride photos. Told me I would have to go back to that ride within 24 hours with the photo number to download it to memory maker. Sounds like a lot of trouble to me!! Hope someone can clarify this that has actually used Memory Maker.

I've used it and that's how it worked. Other people on here have said they have used it and that's how it worked.

I don't know why they tell people that. Wouldn't be the first time CMs give out incorrect information.

I'm going to hijack this thread some - sorry.

I never received a confirmation email. Should I have? It shows I have memory maker when I look in MDE. When I ordered it, I also was told that they no longer mail the card/voucher and that I'd have to go to a photopass location to get one. Is this true?

I can't remember if I received a confirmation email or not. I think I did. It should give you some type of confirmation number so I would call and check on that.

They do not mail you anything. You order online and can start using it I think 3 days after. It tells you to allow at least 3 days I think. You do not have to go to a photopass location to get anything IF you are using magic bands. If you don't have a magic band then I believe you have to go get the card.

If using magic bands, just show up and start taking pictures, have the photog scan your band. That's it.

I love disney but they are terrible at getting information right sometimes! I talked to a CM and they told me anyone could add ride photos, but other people talked to CMs that said only the person with the entitlement could add. Also, we bought it with our vacation package, so we have Magicbands, but we still got a card mailed to us, and other people said they didn't get anything mailed! It seems like disney doesn't even know what's going on sometimes!

Just kidding... ITA. Who knows, maybe they're changing how they operate the MM program now. I know back in February, there were no cards mailed out to us.

My only complaint is when we got home one of our ride photos from test track isn't on there and we are also missing our photo from our breakfast at tusker house so we aren't sure if they did something wrong when they scanned our bans or what happened.

Email or call them and let them know they are missing. I've had missing photos and they eventually find them and they will just pop up in your account one day.

Officially the answer is only the memory maker entitled person can add ride photos. In actual execution anyone attached to it can.

I think you read something incorrectly. The people who have used it, say that anyone in your party can have ride photos added.

Ok, I see where the confusion is.

That person was saying I hope this is correct... THIS meaning that anyone can add photos. And I responded, yes that I've used and that is how it works.

Sorry that wasn't clear.


Just for clarification... ANYONE can add ride photos. Only one person can do the actual download. But that is easily remedied by either putting the pics on a thumb drive or letting someone sign into your MDE account and downloading from there.

I didn't use a card, so I can't be 100% sure. They may only give you one card with the MM purchase... I don't know. In that case, I would think whoever has possession of the actual card would have to be the one to add the photos (ride and dining photos only). If they give you several cards linked to the same purchase/account, then I would say yes. But again, I don't know.

I know with MBs, anyone can add to their band for MM. If you don't have a band, you need the MM card in your possession. You can always add any regular photopass card that a photog gives you to your MDE account, but you cannot add ride and dining photos to a regular photopass card, as far as I know.
