Memory maker help!

I assigned the memory maker to my DW on MDE. Does anyone know if she has to set up a profile on MDE and then link it to mine in order for her to download the pic's at the end of the day?

How long do you have to get the pictures downloaded? Is it still 30 days? Is it after the first picture or after the first view? If we are there for 15 days does that mean we only have 2 weeks from when we get home to get everything downloaded?
It's 45 days from when the picture was taken, based on what mine is showing me (pictures taken different days have different expiration dates).

This is how it worked for us:
I added MM from MDE about three weeks before our trip (ordered March 30th for a trip departure date of 4/19). It showed up on the website, linked to my account, immediately. I never could figure out how to look at it on my phone, though - I don't even know if that's possible. We got a card in the mail, but never needed to use it. I was able to get photos onto the account with either my MB or my DH's, but never with my DD5's (since she was with one or the other of us the whole time, that didn't matter). Our trip lasted from 4/19-4/27, and my pictures expire in early-mid June.

I am pretty sure I saw somewhere that it does not show up on iPhones because you need flash player. Not sure how that would apply with other phones, but maybe that explains why it did not show up for you on the phone?

Thanks for the info on how if worked for you- that is helpful!

That is GREAT news. Will it work the same with the card and no magic bands? (We are staying off site.)

Anyone know? Since the card will work for FPs, I would think it would work the same for Memory Maker too. If everyone is linked to your account, then scanning their card should have the same effect as scanning a magic band. Right?

:confused3

I'm going to be redundant here but I want to be sure I have this right: on the MDE screen it shows the Memory Maker confirmation number and says that it is assigned to my name. Does this mean that if my husband and daughter scan their bands, the pictures will not get added to our account. It's just that it cost so much I want to make sure I am not losing out on pictures! Thanks!

No, it's in your name because you can download. Only one person can have memory maker and only one person can download.

If your fellow family members are managed guests, their photos will show up under your account since you're in charge of them. If someone not under your account takes photos you need to friend them AND share photos to see them.

Not to beat a dead horse BUT I want to make sure I understand this correctly.

We are a party of 12 (3 families) staying offsite. Me and my family have AP's, so we have Magic Bands. The other 2 families do NOT. Memory Maker will be linked to our account. BUT....

Could 1 person in each of the other two families buy a Magic Band (on property after we arrive) to link to their accounts in order to be able to add ride photos?
Thank you!

Theoretically, that should work. If they have a MB attached to their MDE and you are linked to their MDE accounts, it should work where they can scan pictures and you can see them and be able to dl them.

Pictures expire 45 days from the date taken. Regardless of if you have MM or not.

MM gives you 30 days from the day of your first downloaded picture. So you can take pictures on your 2 week vacation, come home, edit and add borders etc. Then download your pictures, and you would still have 30 days from that date to include more pictures. But, the ones you took at the beginning of your vacation still expire 45 days from the date taken. Does that make sense?

You can buy a one time extension of 15 days to extend that to 60 days.

Edited... As far as the person that mentioned they like having the card because the photog would "do more" enhanced photos... Just tell them you have MM and request that they do some magic shots or some different shots. That's what I do and I get plenty of creative shots with "magic" in them. ;)
