Memory maker and staying off site

so I purchased advanced memory maker 3 days before my trip, but left home before I got the memory maker card. Can they just scan my park card? How does that work? Any idea? Do I need to go purchase magic bands?

You only need a MagicBand (one will work if all of your party rides together) if you want to automatically be linked to the on-ride photos and videos. (And, there are only a few.)
The rest of the photos can be connected with just a card.

No, that's why they send a card. You can also get cards from the PhotoPass photographers.

keep in mind you can only get the video from TOT and the video and photo from 7DM if you have a magic band as it uses the long ranged RFID capabilities of it to read it

I'm not sure if guest services can issue you a new card, but it might be worthwhile to purchase 1 magic band on arrival and link it to MDE account which has the Memory Maker attached and use photopass cards for the rest of your party
