Hi everyone,

Quick question: Do all of the character meet and greets have photopass photographers? Or do some of them have them and others don't? If the latter is the case, how do I go about finding out ahead of time who has a photographer?

Thanks,

Most do however sometimes you will get suprise meet and greets which may or may not have a photographer. All the ones we went to that were scheduled did have a photographer.

Is that why Alice doesn't have one?? I was wondering about this when we saw her at Epcot on our last trip and there was no Photopass photographer. What's the licensing issue with her?

My question too - alice was the only meet we did where there was no photographer (and character meals where you just have to use your own camera -presumably there its to keep things moving along)

Stitch in Tomorrowland didn't one when we saw him last week

Must be on again offagain - we had a photog with him a few weeks ago

Yeah, we hit Stitch with no photog, too. For some reason, Minnie in HS didn't have one last week - though Mickey and Ralph and Incredibles all did. Maybe on a break or something? Oh, and Chip and Dale by the HS hat didn't have one!

The character meals don't have them, either - you may already know that, but just in case.

We did a M&G with Belle in her yellow gown at Epcot and there was no photographer. The Ariel in her dress didn't have one either. It was by the building that Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy are in.

I also remember for our first M&G we did with Tinkerbell the camera or scanner (I forget!) stopped working so we had to use our cameras as well. We just went back another night to get photos with her on the memory maker since the wait time was like 5 minutes.

There is no way to be sure ahead of time, because there are many variables that can affect whether there is a photographer present. Sometimes they have camera issues, or connectivity issues. Sometimes they go on break or switch spots before the next photographer arrives. Sometimes the weather is a factor. On our last trip, we had photographers at almost every meet and greet (except Characterpalooza). On the trip before that, we had bad luck and had about 8-10 meets with no photographer.

Generally, if it is a scheduled, set meet and greet inside, there will be a photographer.

Memory Maker photo with Alice about 10 weeks ago.

I've had photopass with Alice - so there's not a licensing issue there.

If you go to the standard, advertised sets from MyDisneyExperience, they should have photos (except for Mary Poppins). However, technical glitches and call ins happen all the time, so this mean that sometimes photographers get moved around. In this case, a photographer may not be at a particular location; you can not plan for those hiccups, it's typically day of scheduling decisions. Sounds like the Alice photog may be the first to be pulled if needed elsewhere.

There are characters that are not advertised such as Formal Belle & Legs Ariel at Epcot (mentioned by previous poster) and the afternoon sets at the Studios; 99% of the time these characters will not have photogs. However, these characters will have the shortest wait times.

I don't believe Alice has a photographer when she is meeting alone at Epcot. That's the only place I have met her and there was never a photographer.

Alice never has a photographer in Epcot because of Mary Poppins. It's not an Alice thing, it's all Poppins.
