Memory Maker… Trying to figure out if it's worth it

I love the added ride pictures and resort dinners. Those are options we always would like to have and it becomes a great part of our vacation memories. My mother is going with us this time and I can't wait to capture her face on all of the rides.
Hi, I'm contemplating MM as well and wanted to ask about the resort dinner pictures. Is this only for special meals? Are there photographers outside the parks at the resorts as well?

If you've never done it before, i'd wait till i viewed the photos during or after my trip to decide if I was going to purchase Memory maker. I think the prepurchase savings have been eliminated or lessened anyway. If you love many of the photos and want to download them all, spend the $, if you only want to purchase a few, then you can do that too for much less $. Not sure If you'll get the on ride videos or animated magic shots by purchasing after the fact.

It was just 2 of us when we went and I have to say it was absolutely worth it. There are so many photo opps and ride photos. Glad we bought it, I was on the fence about it as well.

It is worth it as long as you take advantage of every opportunity. We have found over the last 4 years that the photographers take less and less shots. In the past they would take them in portrait and landscape, close and full body view and get creative with their shots - now it is one, two, next guest please!

I did not find this to be true at all.

We purchased for our first trip back in September, and we got at least 6-8 shots per photographer. I stoped at EVERYONE I could find - sometimes the same person coming and going.

**If you are doing a magic shot and they "forget" to put in the magic - all you have to do is tell them and they will add it right in.

I like the memory maker better than the Fastpass and I think is worth it if you are sharing the price. The ride photos are a great addition.

One thing that has always been good advice, is tell the photopass photographer that a> you've prepurchased it and b> to take candid shots. Not all of them will take candid shots during your meet and greet, and will wait for the posed ones. The candid shots are some of my favorites and when I drop my bag at their feet I always ask them to PLEASE take candid shots while we're chatting with the characters.
