Hi
I have a friend going on DCL this summer and would like to know if you are able to empty your memory card (digital camera) onto disk onboard the ship? Any info would be great :confused3

yes you can download onto a cd. we did it last summer and i think it was something like $14.95.

Just a suggestion that I did last cruise. I took the cables to hook into the tv and I previewed the days pictures. I was able to delete those I didn't want, protect those I did an make a lot more room for the next day. And, it was a fun way to end the day laughing at all the memories. Doing this, I managed with a large size memory disk for the whole week.

If you have a iPod, you can buy a memory card reader and download the pics to your iPod. You can't view them from the iPod, but it is somewhere to store them until you get home. We did this with our memory stick just about everyday and it worked great.

Just be aware that they can do some transfers on the spot at Shutters and some memory cards have to be sent to the lab which takes overnight to be retutned. You may want to have a backup card ready.

read on this board some while ago and there was a recommendation for the Smart Disk Flash Trax to download and view. This is what we arethinking of doing as we will be away for 3 weeks in total and we can downoad as we go. That way we can see what we have taken. Anyone any recommendations other than the flash trax. Have an ad for the Innoplus and this looks remarkably like the flash trax - wonder if it is just the same and marketed as different name . Any views anyone.
:rotfl:

I had shutters transfer my card. The one caution is that it typically only transfers still files. I assumed everything transferred, and I deleted all, losing some precious movie footage.
