This is inspired by another thread called "Memories via Media" by ohdisco.

So what are some memories that really stick out in your mind. Whether it be funny, sad, "moving", etc.

I'll post mine later.

I'm sure a thread like this has been made before, but I haven't seen one recently so here it goes!

well, there are a ton, but its mostly the bad, which im not posting. heres some of the few good ones, though::::

-my first time on a roller coaster
-making snowmen with my cousin (we stayed out for hours because we knew that as soon as we went inside to warm up id have to go home)
-homecoming this year; im not going to go into detail

haha i feel really stupid posting this, but here goes nothin'

When a CM sang happy birthday to my brother at WDW.
When I got to dance in the parade at WDW when I was about 8.
My whole disney trip last summer.
When my baby cousins were born.
When I went to help pick state officers for an organization last year.
When I went to state 2 years ago for an organization and a couple of friends were acting like spies.
When another friend put ice down our room persons shirt. (We had to have an adult, she was cool though.)
When our adult person ran outside and sat in the hall with the bucket of ice and started throwing it.
When we got 2nd place at State 2 years ago.
Rituals for FFA.
Going to the hospital for FEA.

I have these two memories, they're the weirdest things.

I was about 7-8 and I was walking up to my house after playing with my friends. My uncle was there and there was some random kid sleeping on this big brick statue that was there. I remember thinking that I'd try to remember that moment forever...just randomly. And I did. I think back at it about once a month, and I guess that's how it sticks in my mind.

I was sitting in a black metal chair in my room. I'm 8 years old. We're minutes from leaving for our first WDW trip and I remember how happy I was. I wanted to remember that moment forever. And I do. It's just there, permenantly in my head.

I'm weird, I do this thing where at just random moments I'll think that I want to remember that spot in time forever. Sometimes I do, most of the time I don't.

Other memories...

Speaking at my uncle's funeral. It was my very first funeral but I didn't really know the guy because he lived in California. I had to read a note from his 11 year old daughter...a note to her dad. Most people would have been standing up there sobbing but I just wasn't. I didn't know him at all except for one memory of me and him at a restaurant throwing paper towels around.

Tomorrowland. It's one of the only things I can remember from my trips in 2000, 2001. It holds real nostalgia for me.

A really random memory I have, I was 5 and I was walking up to a children's museum with a giant blow-up balloon of Arthur in the front in Boston, with my mom and my aunt.
We had just gotten bagels, and I saw a homeless man, with all of this camping gear set up in this small park, with a sign that said "Will Trade for Food."
And I remembered thinking that I was done with my bagel, and I didn't want any camping gear, but I could just give the man my bagel, since he obviously wanted some food.
So I started walking up to him, but my mom pulled me back and gave me a long talk about strangers.

I know, that's really random, but when I saw the word "memories" that's what popped into my head.

Preschool: There's two playgrounds at my old school. One is for preschoolers-2nd graders. The other is for the older kids. There is a very big long slide for the preschoolers. I went to go up it. After I did, somehow, some kid pushed me off it. I was danging by the top of the slide. A few minutes later a teacher saw and took me down.

4th grade: We had to take our Social Studies book home. I didn't want to because it was really heavy. So I said "Oh no. I'm gonna have to break my back again." My teacher said "Allison, be nice." I wanted to say something, but I didn't want to get in trouble.

5th grade: If we didn't do our homework, or do what the teacher asked we had to stay inside for recess. We had to roll up grocery bags and tie them. I spend like half my time inside during recess. One time I remember I started crying because I didn't deserve staying inside most of the time.

5th grade: I was working really hard for the entire year. No matter how hard I worked, I didn't get good grades. I had to stay inside during recess to do this island project. This 6th grader came inside to talk to my teacher. After I finished she said, "Wow. You worked really hard on that." My teacher said "Oh yeah, I guess she did work really well on it." I got really ticked off. I Can't you tell I didn't like my 5th grade teacher?

5th grade: We had to take spelling tests every week. She said "Throw away your spelling test list" every week. And so I did. We had these things called "French Franks" which was play money. (Her last name was Mrs. French) We had things that we could buy with these French Franks. If you didn't have any, you got to stay inside during recess. Anyway, one day during May she said "If anyone kept all of their spelling test lists you get 20 French Franks." I was thinking "What?! You told us to throw them away!" There was a few people who kept all of them and I was watching my teacher give them the French Franks.

5th grade: I was working really hard during 5th grade. (as I said before) We got a new student during the middle of the year. This guy works for a week or two. One day my teacher made an announcement. "Suhass (the guy) has been working so hard! You guys need to start working hard like him." I felt invisible. I was working as hard as I possibly could just so I could get a good grade. It obviously didn't mean anything to my teacher.

5th grade: Every time we didn't do our homework we had to write a "memo" which was a pass that says "I didn't do my homework" On this memo it says "Why didn't you do your homework?" This memo wasn't fair. I didn't deserve it. So I wrote "I hate school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I put it on her desk. She asked "What is this?" I didn't say anything. She said "I could tell you were upset. You put a lot of emotion into this, didn't you?" I had to talk to her for a long time about that.

Summer of 2006: My mom's side had a family reunion at my house. We were dancing to music. I just sat there and watched as my cousin was playing Haunted Mansion on my Nintendo Gamecube. My aunt decided to come up and dance. While she was dancing she knocked over my mom's plates. My other relative had a priceless look on his face.

Spring Break of 2006: At ASMU I just finished going swimming. When I came in a CM from ASMU asked me if I wanted to be chef of the day. I said "Umm, sure?" Then he made a big announcement: "Hello! Can I get every one's attention? Today the chef of the day is Allison!" Everyone in the room started clapping. Other CMs brought out a Mickey waffle. Everyone watched me decorate my waffle. I also got a hat that says "chef of the day"

Spring break of 2007: Every time I see a character I give them candy. I gave Woody a candy. I looked at his autograph. "Woody thanks for the skittles!" That was my favorite autograph from the whole trip.

Spring break of 2005: This was my first trip to WDW. My parents just bought me a Stitch hat by the MGM hat. There was Lilo and Stitch. We got in line to see them. I put my hat on. When it was my turn to take a picture with them Lilo grabbed my Stitch hat. She ran over to the garbage and pretended she was gonna throw it away. I just stood there and watched. Then Stitch came over and was pretending to take it out of the garbage. Stitch grabbed my hat and walked over to me and put it back on my head. Lilo took it off my head again. She put it inside out so you couldn't see Stitch. Then she put it back on my head. There's a picture of me with my Stitch hat inside out with Lilo on the left of me and Stitch on the right.

Spring Break of 2007: We went to Hoop-Dee-Doo-Revue. Our flight messed us up so we couldn't go to the one that we wanted payed for. There was one for 9:30. We went to that one. Since our flight got messed up we got a really good seat. One of the ladies (I forgot her name..she has black hair I think..?) saw my dad. Our side had to go "toot toot":lmao: She said "I liked your toot toot. What's your name?" "John," my dad said. "Okay, John. Why don't you toot toot by yourself since you say it perfectly?" "Umm, okay," my dad said. My dad turned around. "Toot toot," he said by himself. My family and I was cracking up about it the entire time. After the show some people even recognized him. They said "Hey John":lmao:
