Be sure and secure your glasses on your head before you disembark at Castaway Cay - you don't want a repeat performance at the airport on theway home - lol

I agree - the week on the Magic goes WAY TO FAST!

Sandy, I bought an extra pair of glasses with me on this cruise, LOL!!! :rotfl2:

We just finished dinner and are on our way to see Disney Dreams.

For dinner I had not one, but two lobster tails and I also got my Warm Chocolate Lava Cake for dessert, my throat healed just in time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I am about to burst, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

::yes:: Now, that's what I call a meal! So, glad you were able to enjoy it!

I remember about your glasses, I'm so glad you have a back up pair this time. lol :rolleyes1

So, do people say, "Verandah Man" or "Andy" when you walk into a room (Like Norm from Cheers?) You are so well known on and off the ship! Continue to enjoy your cruise! :cheer2:

(((will VM make it to his 10,000th post before disembarking? We'll have to wait and see.)))

Good Morning from the Magic,

It's Friday morning, so that means it is Castaway Cay Day!!! We are finally getting off the ship today to enjoy some time on the beach.

My DD is scheduled to take the BBR with my niece Teri, her DH Eric, and their friends Greg and Michele. I opted out this time around and decided to just take it easy and relax on the beach with my DW.

Even with the illness, this has still been a most memorable cruise, just seeing the faces of my family members who are witnessing this cruise for the first time has been priceless for me!!!

I just entered Thursday's Journal Report with Photos into my blog, so for those who are interested you can go there and read it.

We should be arriving at Castaway Cay soon, the sky looks a little cloudy, but hopefully, we will have a very nice day onshore!!!

:wave2:

Thanks so much for your great report. We board tomorow and we are so excited :jumping1: party: . I loved following your report, and I'm happy your feeling better and can eat. :grouphug:

Where would you rather be today? Slightly cloudy CC or rainy NJ??? The decision is yours... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Enjoy the day at Castaway Cay.

Mmmmm.... warm chocolate lava cake.... mmmmmmmm.........

Hope you guys have a great day at Castaway Cay today. Glad the b'day celebrations went so well.

Loving the trip report "live" - it's so wonderful. Do always have to order two lobster tails ahead? I think my husband would love that. Of course, I could order it and give him mine - sorry -yuck! Enjoy your day and tonight! Thanks again for all your effort and time you took to write the reports.

YesGrumpy, you don't have to preorder the lobster. I ordered 2 tails that night with no problem. :)

Andy, I guess this means that you are going to have to try to get a "before" picture of the lava cake on another cruise. ;) Didn't the last one have a bite missing too? :)

Andy,

Thank you for relaying the message to me from my parents, you are too sweet!!! Speaking of sweet... warm chocolate lava cake..... boy that sounds really good to me right now. I am now 13 weeks pregnant and the cravings for pickles and chocolate have already started, no I don't want to eat them together!!!! ;) :goodvibes

Enjoy the day at Castaway Cay, I wish I was there that is one of my most favorite parts (that and days at sea). :thumbsup2

That's one thing that is great about Disney cruises, you can order all the food you want!

Enjoy CC today Andy, I hope the weather's perfect. I'm sure my parents will be on the adult beach in a hammock most of the day.

I miss my parents, so do the kids, they keep asking where papa and
goo(grandma) are. Can't wait to pick them up tomorrow. Although, I'm sure they would rather be there. :rotfl:

Enjoy the day. Thanks again Andy!

Verandah Man - I've enjoyed your trip report! Sorry about the sore throat.

I can't wait to try that Lava cake - sounds sooo good! I don't think I've ever had it before.

Sigh...8 more months to go for me. I live vicariously through these trip reports....

Reading your report live has made my week! I can live vicariously through your trip! Thanks so much!

2 lobstertails.....you go Andy!! Hey, sorry I didn't get to ya earlier....but maybe you headed to the "adult" beach for some lobster tail "leftovers"!! You sould be doing the last sailiaway about now.....mmake the most of it and don't forget about the "show" in Diversions tonight......it's a MUST SEE!!!

I've got to make this quick as we are getting ready for dinner. We just arrived back from our visit to the bridge. We shared our visit to the bridge with two other families, each family got to get a chance to have their photo taken with Captain Tom and Captain Mickey. Below is our group photo.

We had a lovely day on Castaway Cay, but we are now headed back tp Port Canaveral so that the May 20th cruisers can board tomorrow!!!

:wave2: Hey Verandah Man! It seems like just yesterday that I read about you booking this cruise! I am so glad that your throat got better and you were able to really enjoy the food! We were on the "Magic" in December for the first time, but we aren't sure when we will return! Our oldest son graduates high school tomorrow, and I am taking he and two of his friends on a Carnival cruise on Sunday. His friends have never been on a cruise, so they have no other to compare. The hardest thing for me will be looking over at the "Wonder", wishing I was sailing on her! This happened when I was on the Mariner and the Glory in the last few years! Every time I turned around, there was DCL!!!

Getting back to the point...I have enjoyed reading and looking at your pictures this week! You and Shirley have been so helpful to many here! Have a great night and a safe trip back home!

Carol :sunny:
