Eating at MNSSHP

Curious what people do eating wise at MNSSHP. Do you use quick serve restaurants so as to avoid too much downtime during the party? Or do you take the time for a sit down meal? I know many don't eat at all during the party to maximize party time and others use the dessert parties. We plan on quick serve in order to maximize ride time.
We go every year (except this one). Eat before you go. You can enter the park at 4 pm. Do it. We usually get there around 5 only because we always run late getting our costumes together. We have a down-time day (usually resort/pool), eat a late lunch, and get dressed.

Keep in mind, once the party starts officially at 7, a lot of restaurants stop serving, so you'll need to plan ahead with options/menus. They are listed on the event website. Do not do a table service meal. Food at MK is 'meh' at best, nothing there is worth sitting and wasting valuable ride/park/parade time.

Our favorite (and least painful) quick service meal is Pinocchio Village Haus. They have decent flat breads and we usually get a cesar salad (dressing on the side!) and tomato soup (great for dipping the pizza!) and everyone is happy. Fast and easy and definitely mobile order if possible. Insider scoop/pros: it has a ton of seating inside AND a second floor most people don't realize is there. If lucky, you can sit watching everyone load onto It's A Small World (and no you don't hear the music lol). Also, there's a secret book in there you can write a wish in. Fun for the kids to look for and do. :)

I hope this helps. The food during the event is lack luster and the desserts are basically clumps of sugar. Otherwise, we LOVE MNSSHP, just not so much the dining/snacks/desserts.

We haven't done a MNSSHP for a long time, because of my DD's schedule, but when we did, we always ate at LLT at 4pm and then we were good to go for the rest of the night. Back then it was character dining and 4pm was the first ADR for the dinner crowd. It was so much fun, and even though it's not character dining anymore, when we return for a MNSSHP, we most absolutely will be going to LLT before the party starts.

I’m not a fan of the crowds during the crossover time and I want a full healthy dinner before the party so I use the crossover time for dinner. The two options I’ve done are eating at an MK resort and arriving to the park any time after 6pm or eating TS in the park looking to leave the restaurant around 6:15pm. Day crowds have to start leaving at 6pm so the park is not as hectic. I preferred the later option as it was great to already be in the park when I finished my meal.

I would not do TS during the party hours as the party hours are too valuable to me.
