I was just wondering if anyone knew what happened to Memories by Sarah? When I went to the site it changed to Betsy. The prices seem to be a bit higher than I remember for Sarah, maybe thats why she is not doing it anymore? We were going to use her this last Feb. and she was very helpful, but did not order anything. Has anyone tried Betsy yet? Just wondering in case we do something for the kids for our next trip.:goodvibes

Betsy was Sarah's assistant. Sarah quit doing the baskets (can't remember why) and Betsy took over. I haven't done anything like this yet, but I did contact her a couple of months ago about doing a basket for DH's birthday. Have you tried using FeralPeg, she is a Dis'er that also does the baskets, and I think she is priced about the same. I have seen some pictures of baskets she has done and they are just beautiful.

I have used Sarah.....and Betsy will be delivering my baskets next trip....Sarah was returning to her home state and her family I think.
I am assuming Betsy will provide the same great service that Sarah did!
She even got me the WL mugs (I WAS staying there) before they were phased out to the YOMD ones....so I will just keep them!
I probably would have gotten l@@ks anyway at WL ...like they were from another trip...lol

Betsy charges $28 for the first basket and $8 for each additional basket. All other charges are the same that disney charges.

She just made 2 for my upcoming trip.

The OP is correct - it is my understanding that Betsy was Sarah's assistant. I've read that Sarah moved and Besty took over.

If you'd like you can look at Peggy's (Feralpeg) site for price comparisons and options.

Can someone help me with the pricing situation? I read above that she charges $28 for the first basket and $8 for additional ones. Now, are those prices just for the baskets? I would still need to pay for what goes into the baskets correct?? And are there any additional delivery charges for them to take the baskets to the resorts??

nope.. those are her fees for the baskets, shopping and delivery. Yes.. You pay for what you put in the basket...

I ordered from Sarah but Betsy will be delivering. I'm really looking forward to seeing my kids' reaction. It's a surprise. It looks like this:

Betsy is terrific!! She is charging the same price as Sarah (who raised from $25 and $5 earlier this year)

I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that these baskets can no longer include food/beverages of any type due to Florida state law changes.

it is against Florida law. She could have her business shut down over that. Not to mention that the basket is already put together and her delivery isn't for another month or so. Most of that food will be pushing the freshness limits.

I'm wondering if that is a generic picture of a basket they used to show as an example when the poster ordered. She states she ordered from Sarah so that would have to be some time ago. Betsy's website clearly states she can't put food items in the basket and I don't think she would have that made up so early either. Just a thought.

If you ordered your basket from Sarah it was before the food law went into effect so that is why she is able to have it in her basket.

Actually, the law has been in effect for the past couple of years. The state of Florida is just not good about passing the information along. I discovered the information by talking to other gift basket companies in the state and let both Sarah and Gifts of a Lifetime know. I didn't want them to get in trouble. Violation of the regulation could mean the loss of their business license and a $5k fine.

You'd think the state would send out a notice to people registered as doing retail business. They didn't. If I hadn't stumbled upon the information, we would all be out of compliance. Shame on you Florida!

Wow. I completely agree. That's not good at all.

Another comment abt Betsy.....she has been wonderful with communications...and she is just delivering. We changed resorts in the middle of THEIR change...I will definately use her service for all upcoming trips in the future! Plus I changed our arrival day..and she has been very accomodating!

Another big thumbs up for Betsy. I made my original enquiry earlier in the year with Sarah. When it came time for me to order my baskets Sarah emailed me back and said she was moving out of Florida and would pass my details to Betsy. I was able to give Betsy details of what I wanted in my baskets and she helped with a couple of suggestions.

She states clearly on her website that she isn't able to add food items. She charges exactly what is charged at WDW (unlike other websites who add a premium) and her delivery and service charge is as already stated which doesn't seem much considering the shopping, the delivery and the number of emails she sends to sort out the perfect gift. also, I believe for those of you in the US the phone number is toll free so presumably she pays a hefty price for this too.

In addition, she sends a photo of the boxes when she bills you so that you can see them in advance.

I can't upload pictures of mine but honestly they are beautiful. I wish her all the luck with the business.

Thank you all so much for your input. Sounds like she will do a great job if we order something this year. :)

Would you mind if I asked you what you ended up paying total for your 2 baskets?? Your basket sizes are pretty much what i'm looking for!! Also, if I had them delivered to the resort is there a way for them to be waiting for us in our room when we check in?
