Hello ! We are booked from May 17th -24th which falls over memorial day weekend. we were planning
on doing a split park that day on Sat with AK in the am and MK in the afternoon. We are planning on making our FP"s for MK. I was wondering if you think it might be a bad idea to visit MK on that day?
Have the parks ever been to capacity on that weekend? Thanks for your wisdom!:flower:

I personally would avoid MK as it's going to be packed (9/10 per EasyWDW's crowd caledar). Another thing to keep in mind is that in '13 and '14 MK was open for a 24-hour event on the Memorial Day weekend Saturday.

We will be there this year that weekend as well...and will be going to MK on Saturday too. We have only ever gone in September and November in the past, but wanted to try Star Wars weekend this year. I'm kinda nervous as far as crowds because I have no idea what a 9 out of 10 crowd level looks like!

We have gone the past 7 years on Memorial Day weekend. It's not that bad. I never use crowd calendars, but if it's a 9/10 at MK on Saturday, I'd pick another day. If you are going to DHS for SWW that day, I'd plan the whole day at DHS. The celebrity speakers and panels are all afternoon to early evening. Then, the SW fireworks are in the evening-- well worth it!

We too have been a couple of times on Memorial Day and did not find the crowds terrible. We found them to be moderately high, but with FPs we were able to do whatever we wanted. Some lines, but not for everything.

We have been and the 24 hour event fell on Friday, leaving Saturday morning not so crowded. It did get very busy as the day went on and we hopped to Epcot. Right now trying to plan but waiting to see if they have another 24 hour day that weekend.

We're planning to fly home the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend because we figured that weekend would be insane. Maybe we should reconsider...I'm surprised to hear it might not be that bad!

I'll second (or however many LOL) what all PP have said--it really wasn't that bad. SWW was awesome! We did TL on the actual holiday and it was great--not too crowded at all. If I could extend my stay, I would! I'm always limited by $$$, not time! LOL
