Our last full day! Mike went down to the Riptide Lounge to get us breakfast. He wasn't gone too long and came back with a bagel, muffin, and cereal.

After breakfast we headed to the launch to get the boat to MGM Studios. It was a quick ride. We stopped at the Swan/Dolphin on the way. Once we got to MGM, we had to wait a few minutes for opening. It was Star Wars Weekend and the Storm Troopers were walking back and forth over the entrance keeping everyone in line!

We wanted a picture of this and that's when I realized we forgot the camera in the room!
Oh, well. As soon as we got throguh the gates, I went to wait in line fro a stroller. Decided to pick up a disposable camera while in there. $19.99!!! Note to self: DO NOT FORGET CAMERA!!!!! even worse, when I got out, Mike had already gotten another camera at the Kodak store-$15.99! Ouch!

Whatever...we followed the masses to Tower of Terror. Not too bad-about a 15 minute wait. I am scared to death of this ride and swore I would never do it again, but it was Marcus' first time on and the mother in me took over.

Marcus really liked it! I didn't, but at least this time I wasn't so scared I couldn't scream-I screamed alright. I think they heard me over at Epcot!

Next...the Great Movie Ride-another 15 minute wait. I think there are two different "hold-up" sequences here. We've been on a few times and I don't remember an explosion...

Next stop...Star Tours...the Jedis in training were already battling Darth Vader-looked like fun, but boy was it HOT out!We got a fastpass for Star Tours and got pictures with the characters while we waited-Chewbacca and ewoks, Luke and Leah, some Jedi from Attack of the Clones (Marcus knew who it was -"I have him"-He has EVERY character at home). We did not wait in line for Boba Fett because our FP time was coming up. Rode Star Tours, fun as usual, and then got Marcus' picture with Jedi Mickey. Lines for characters were pretty short. It was HOT and CROWDED. We decided to head out of the park, as it was noon and we got our "must-dos" out of the way.

Here is where something happened that I still don't believe....

We were waiting for the boat back to the Beach Club when a child (about 5) through his empty coke bottle into the water. I waited.....and waited....no reaction AT ALL from the ten adults he was with! A few minutes later he throws in the cap. Nothing... He then "disappears" for a few minutes and is found by one of his party down at the EDGE of the dock.
Once we were on our way, he proceeds to run off the boat at the Swan /Dolphin into a whole crowd of people. His mom has to chase him down and bring him back. UGH!! The whole time we were on the boat , another child was behind us HACKING away. Not covering his mouth or anything-right behind my son. Well, I moved Marucs, but the child continued to hack away into the open air for the rest of the trip. Almost two weeks later and Marcus has...you guessed it... a bad cough. No one else around here does (not at school- I know because I've been helping out with the end of the year activities, or at home, etc)

Okay...back at the Beach club, we grab lunch at Hurricane Hanna's and head up to the room with it. Those are great chicken strips!
We ate and watched our new DVD-Lord of the Rings -The Return of the King. Love that portable DVD player!!!!!

After the movie, we got ready for dinner. We dropped Marcus off at the Sandcastle Club at 5pm and Mike and I walked around, since we had some time before our PS at Cape May.
We walked over to the Beach Club Villas-looked REALLY nice.
We sat for a while in the Solarium and decided to redo our living room in this fashion...

Since we had a few more minutes, we decided to check out the Yacht Club next door. Okay..... wow! We fell in love and found our "home". Both Mike and I thought the same thing at the same time! This was the place where we should have been all along! We were standing outside the YC Galley and I picked up the house phone and made a PS for breakfast the following morning. We will definitely be spending future trips at the YC!

Finally, we meandered (haven't use that word yet) back to the Beach club and Cape May. The Clambake was good, but we were not blown away. People were just shoveling up four and five scoops of clams at a time. That's a lot of clams! The Cape May Colada is not to be missed here (yum) and the desert bar was wonderful!

After dinner we went to the gift shop and bought our Beach Club t-shirts. Well, I got the polo shirt for DH, even though he didn't want me to spend the $48 on it. Then he said, "I wouldn't be mad if you got me a medium..."

It was about 7pm, so we went upstairs and put on our swimsuits and went down to get Marcus, who was having a blast. We changed him into his suit and headed to the pool! It was so nice at this time. We did not even bother with sunscreen. About 9, we went upstairs and changed into clothes and took the boat over to the Boardwalk for icecream. Yum!

We go back to the room and had turndown service with a little towel birdie- Marucs loved it and wanted to sleep with it!

Monday, May 31

Woke up, packed up and went to the Yacht Club Galley for breakfast. It was lovely! Then we left for home.

Overall-a wonderful trip. Next time, I will book the Yacht Club and a water view. The location was nice, but you also get a lot of foot traffic that you don't get at more remote places like the WL and AKL-which I prefer.

It was HOT and crowded in the parks-don't know if I would survive the summer. We live in FL, but spend the summer INDOORS.

Never had trouble getting a chair at the pool...

Ate too much! Next stop... Animal Kingdom Lodge, Sep 3-6:bounce:

Hi Susy. I have enjoyed reading your reports. Thanks for taking the time to write them. I was just wondering what makes you prefer the YC to the BC. Can you describe the difference? Thanks!

Thanks Susy for the great reports. We have never stayed at the Beach or Yacht Club Resorts but we plan on it in the near future.
