Memorial Day Week

So we're going to be in Orlando the week of Memorial Day. I'd originally planned on skipping the parks on Memorial Day because I figured it would be really busy. But I was looking at easywdw.com and he says that overall the parks are a 7 which is lower than the following Friday-Sunday. I guess my question is: Is Memorial Day a skip the parks day? We're there long enough that we can schedule a different day, but none of the days are going to be lower than a 7.

We arrived on Memorial Day last year. We went to MK, but didn't get there until around 9:00 pm. I didn't think it was that crowded.

So glad you posted this! I am interested, too. We will be there the same time. We usually go in October, so I am wondering if I will be in for a crowd shock.

I went over Memorial Day week in 2011. MK on Memorial Day. It was what I call 'annoyingly crowded'. Not oppressive, but definately a LOT of people and increased wait times. Thoughtful planning and FPs will help a lot. It was HOT that year. My god..like high 90s.

We go in September now. I love it.

We are currently scheduled to arrive on the 24th mid to late afternoon. That plan may be in trouble because of six snow days and no plan yet on how it impacts the end of the year.

I suspect the MK will be busy that forst night, but this is where FP+ really helps. It's good to hear that the crowds that weekend aren't too bad.

I think we're going to Epcot on Memorial Day. Magic Kingdom is definitely a Wednesday. That leaves an easy park between the two. I wanted to space out the parks a little more, but I think this will work and we'll leave the other day for half day trips to the darkside.
