Memorial Day Grand Gathering

I pulled the shrimp and fish out of the smoker late last night. I had a cup of wine and assorted flavorings in the water bowl. The fish came out very moist and smelled wonderful. At midnight, I wasn't in the mood to taste it, so I will let you know today when we have it for mother's day.

Jeeez...I absolutely HATE writing this post.......but things are REALLY not looking good for me for my MD trip. I havent given up yet and refuse to cancel my reservation...just in case something good happens(like that damn stimulous check showing up)....and Im still giving serious consideration to using my ccards to make it happen(ugh, I hate paying interest for fun). At this point, Im hangin on by a thread..but that thread is wearing thin. Send some pixie dust my way folks.....I really need a break right now!!!

Hang in there Rog I got my check on Friday ! That's why we canceled our reservations for memorial day a few months back with the gas and campground fee we just couldn't swing it right now...next year is a different story though. Good Luck it's so sad to have to cancel a res at the last minute.

Ain't that true. They had to use cable for me though.

I'll tell you what though. I am ready for a little gettaway.

We are heading up on Tuesday for a mix of business and pleasure. We will camp at the Fort and I will brave the traffic each morning and afternoon and drive to Orlando and attend school for 3 days. Then we head back up again for the MDGG!

I seriously hope you can swing it. These past 6 months with our finances being up-side-down, I can understand your indecision tho.

As far as being the life of the party??? We're all too damned old to worry about that!! (At least I am) If Al were coming down, we'd leave that to him. He is, and always has been (bleep-bleep) Goofy!!!

I doubt that...keep in mind, the life of the party is a completely different person than the life of the part 20 years ago. Now days being the life of the party doesn't mean seeing what you can improvise with a speedo, a lampshade and half a roll of duct tape,, ,,or then again????

I think that is the million dollar question. Everybody I see in a speedo doesn't belong in one, but I see lots of guys in magazines (no my mind is not in the gutter, not THOSE magazines) that need to be!
