Membership number assigned to points??

We closed on a OWK resale contract on December 15th. Our new membership was added to my account last Saturday but still no points! How long has it been taking everyone to get access to their points? The contracted had 150 banked points for the February use year and I was hoping to use them for a quick trip the end of the month.
 
They are slow on loading points. If you call member services and ask they will load them on the spot. It will take some time waiting on hold. We just became new resale owners and 10 days after we got our online account I called them and they loaded them. Congrats!
 
Give MS a call and tell them you need them ASAP. Once contract is loaded it can take a bit to load as it’s MS doing it,

They are super busy right now with the ticket offer and the nee Aulani offer...but in your case, it may be worth waiting on hold so you can get your trip bookEd!

I try not to bother them and be patient but had the same issue - Feb use year so gave 4 days then called. 40 mins on hold to get them on the phone then it takes them a while to contact the right people and then load them. Make sure not to call too late in the day (long before 5pm Eastern). Was so happy the points didn't go to waste - gifted them to some laid off cast members we know who are spending 2 nights in Copper Creek Cascade Cabins next week.
 

Thanks for the help. I called on Wednesday and they told me I would have to email member administration since they are not taking phone calls. I emailed them and received an automated response that it would take 5 days to get back to me. I am going to try to get through the "busy signal" and call again. Thanks so much for your responses. I bought this add on hoping to use the points over my Christmas break, then MLK weekend, now I am hoping for the last 4 days of the month! :thumbsup2

My latest resale contract was added to my account last Saturday, too. I'm also waiting for my points to post.
 
Ok, this has me worried. We closed on Dec 2 and still no word with a new membership number or points or anything. I just reached out this weekend to the title company to figure out what is going on. While it would be nice to have the points available, we don’t have any immediate plans to use them. My main concern is annual dues. We are supposed to pay them, but how can I if they have not yet been assigned?

In terms of dues, there are no penalties until after Feb 15th. However, i don’t think they will penalize you for not paying until you have the membership created and are actually able to do it.

There'a a cut off at some point that requires dues to be in the closing. Maybe you are right before that cutoff? I'd go check your closing docs, it's possible dues are already paid.

Was this your first DVC contract? I wonder if that is the delay in receiving a membership number? This was our 4th DVC contract.

In regards to our closing, it delayed because the sellers live in the UK and they were shut down. We originally signed the end of November but it took almost an additional 3 weeks for the sellers to sign and send the paperwork and our dues were paid at closing.

No, not 1st contract. We have a membership number from our first direct contract, but this is our first resale purchase. My initial understanding was that we would be assigned a new membership number, but that is not what the agent is telling me. She is saying they will add this to our existing membership number. Either way, I haven’t heard a peep and dues were not included in the contract, but it was explicitly stated they were my responsibility.

If it is the same UY and the owners are the same, it will show up under the same membership number.

At this point, until it’s there, and your dues bill is loaded, it isn’t something they will be expecting you to pay!!

you can check the dues owing under your dash board when you log in. i also waited 10 days on my first and then called also waited 40 mins and then they loaded them. it showed under dash board when my dues were owed
 
We went through something similar when we closed on our DVC contract last February. We wanted to book trip with the remaining points that were going to expire at the end of May. My wife called MS and they loaded them almost immediately (they were in by the end of the day). It's definitely worth a call.
