Membership Magic Beyond

I am curious if you can buy OTUP beyond December 2025? The perk only runs to the end of December but I may need OTUP for my 2026 trip, will I be able to get the deal?

The way I read it is that you buy into this in December and it covers 2025 to take advantage of it all.

So, if you are purchasing OTU points in 2025, it doesn’t matter when the trip is! So, yes, you’d get the benefit!

I have a feeling it might be somewhere in between. If I had to guess, we might see it discounted a bit more than third party vendors sell.

Best case, they discount like CMs which last I knew was a 10% discount.

But, at least IMO, any new discount for passes is a good thing. I add the membory maker to my AP…maybe now I won’t depending on how this works.

I haven’t bought OTU points often but for the current equivalent of $10/pt with this deal, it might be a nice option if I need it.

If it's a significant discount on the 5-day pass, they just singlehandedly made direct points so much more valuable

Maybe a dumb question but here goes. My wife my son and myself are all owners on the contract. My son lives at a different address. So, is it 99 per membership, per address or per member for us? We go again in March with all weekday park visits. This may save us a little depending?

I'm hoping it just means still a max of 24 per year. I'm pretty sure there was already a 24 limit and this says 12+12free with no change in the total allowed. They say "Members" when probably should have said Membership Magic Beyond/MMB Members...
If I already have a reservation at VDH for a night at less than 24 points… could I swap that out for OTUP and then free up the points that were already on the reservation. That would make the cost of a 24 point room only 12 points….

Right now, it seems to me that if an owner is in a different household, they have to buy their own

So, I can buy for DH and myself but my adult children would have to buy their own since they don’t live with me

ETA:::maybe this is wrong. The FAQ seems to alow to use for others.

As long as the room was booked 7 months or less, I’d say yes.

You’d have to book something else to start to buy, cancel and reallocate, but it doesn’t sound like any OTU point rules are changing.

For someone like me, who is a DVC Blue Card holder without AP, MMB option is great. Just the Memory Maker seals the deal for me.

Memory Maker - If someone does not have AP, this is a steal.
24 points at $10/pt - Might not use it every time, but points doesn't get cheaper than this.
Priority Access - Not sure how crowded Lounges will get. Might be a good perk.
Discounted tickets - Reserve the judgement until details are released
Using points to buy AP - Probably wont be as good as renting the points and buying AP. But would be easy process.

Verdict - I AM GETTING IT.

It's interesting because the terms don't seem to match the "one per membership" the FAQ mentioned.

WDW Tickets may only be purchased by the Member enrolled in the Optional Benefit Program for themselves and up to seven (7) of their immediate family living in their household, for up to a total of eight (8) WDW Tickets per the 2025 Benefit Season.

I just noticed a VERY important word for the discount tickets “Weekday”…. as in does not cover weekends?
Correct

Purchase of Walt Disney World® Resort Five-Day Date-Based Weekday Theme Park Ticket Plus One Water Park Visit: From time to time, Members enrolled in the Optional Benefit Program are granted the ability to purchase up to eight (8), five (5)-day, date-based, weekday tickets (“WDW Tickets”). Each WDW Ticket allows access to one (1) WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort theme park per day (for a total of five (5) theme park visits) Monday through Friday only and provides one (1)-day admission to either Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park OR Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park (whichever is open).

  • Disney Sorcerer Pass Using Points
    • Use your points to buy the Disney Sorcerer Pass, giving you access to Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.
I wonder what the exchange rate will be? 100 points for a Sorcerer pass… 😂
I think you can get it for 56ish points from the board sponsor ($999/$18pp)…. depending on your home resort.

I guess if you have points within 7m this could be an interesting use….

If Disney gives a dues only conversion rate…. not going to cut it….

I bet more and I bet that they will only accept direct points to trade…just like they only accept direct points to trade for cruises, etc.
