While I get what you're saying, comparing the two is a stretch IMO. Yes, we paid for TIW (originally not available to DVC Members unless you had an AP, though it did become a DVC perk), but you were essentially paying for a discount on food and drinks. That's a far cry from MMB seems to be charging for. To me, it's apples and oranges as *some* of the benefits that MMB seem to provide were previously not something that cost me anything. We get AP's so the ticket discount holds no value to us. I've never had to wait for the member lounge in Epcot, and we visit it regularly. I'm afraid that is going to change.

I never felt TIW was a DVC entitlement either. It was quite a nice program that only frequent visitors could make good use of. It was definitely set up more for AP holders to get locals into the dining establishments. It grew exponentially in popularity, however. And so did the PRICE! WDW definitely doesn't need help filling restaurants any longer. But I digress.
We'll all have to wait and see the details of what Disney rolls out. I am, however, concerned about additional cost items that used to be included.
