I look at it like airline upgrades. Even if you're #1 for an upgrade, if there are no more first class seats open, then you're getting upgraded to first class.I'm thinking they are interpreting this from the FAQ as to the waitlist is closed so the waitlist at that point doesn't exist. But I think even if closed a MMB member should go ahead of the ones on the list that aren't.
Q: What does Priority Lounge Access mean?
A.
If a waitlist is in place at one of the Member Lounges in a Disney theme park, then enrolled Members will be moved to the top of the waitlist—for prioritized entry.
I paid for my priority access and yet most likely those that didn’t were given my seats … it’s obvious that what happened last week was in error. There is no other way to interpret ‘priority access’ as the Q&A clearly states … only legit explanation is that the entire waitlist were MMB members. Perhaps that was the case but it wasn’t communicated that wayI look at it like airline upgrades. I have Delta Platinum Medallion Status, so I have earned to right to move ahead of all Silver and Gold customers when it comes to upgrades, but if there are no seats, there are no seats. I can't complain to Delta that I've spent $15k on flights the previous year, so I deserve an upgrade every time I fly. Also, if I decide to book a flight after Gold Medallion upgrades have been processed for that flight, they aren't going to bump that Gold Medallion member who got an upgrade back out of first class to make room for me. Airlines have cut-offs to upgrades, and DVC has a cut-off for the waitlist.
Were both memberships direct? We have both direct and resale memberships and were told for the second time last week that we couldn't do the bogo on the resale membership. Based on comments here I don't think that's correct so I'm curious what others are being told.Yes. We used two different contracts to each purchase MMB and subsequently purchase BOGO points.
No, one was direct and one was resale. We did have challenges in using the points on a split stay reservation. The person who helped me with the initial reservation was very knowledgeable. She described to me exactly how I needed to make the second reservation 3 days later. That CM, however, did not understand the BOGO benefit at all. I shared with her the exact instructions given to me a few days prior. She insisted I couldn't purchase the BOGO points. I was on the phone for nearly 90 minutes as she went back and forth between me and her manager. In the end, she took the precise steps I shared with her at the start of the call. We purchased the BOGO points and reserved the second half of our stay. While frustrating, it worked out in the end. Were both memberships direct? This.
As a DVC owner, but someone who won't buy MMB, I still have non-priority access to the lounge. If I'm put on the waitlist, which then becomes full, do MMB'ers expect that a CM should just tell me "Sorry, one the first-class-MMB people just decided to show up at the last minute, so we kicked you off the list"?
I think that the ‘not offered at all times’ and ‘suspended at any time’ means the program’s future not the benefit term they already sold you (Jan 12- Dec 31, 2025) … no chance they can sell you a term of a product then change/pull benefits after payment without legal repercussions including refunds despite what any fine print might allude to .. I’m no lawyer but I did sleep at POFQ last weekI just want to add that the T & C say that it doesn’t have to be offered at all times, and can be suspended st any time.
So, it can function the way that it did and that maybe, when the line was what it was, they suspended it.
I do agree that that answer doesn’t necessarily mesh with how it’s listed in the terms, and if all someone read were the FAQs…and not saying this applies to you..then they may not even know what those say.
6thIf I am MMB and there are already 5 MMBs on the list, then where do I land?
That’s why I think the FAQ is misleading because when you read the rules it’s says you will be put on a priority waitlist and to me, that means your wait will be shorter than those who aren’t MMB.

Nah I didn’t expect to jump other MBB, that wouldn’t make sense at all but I did expect to jump every non MBBBut that’s my point…6th is not first is it? And if the FAQs are what we are using, then I’m not getting what it says.
Nope we are not nor am I looking for agreement on this … if they take a benefit away that is paid for (contract) they will either need to offer an equal benefit in return or a refund .. it’s just common sense ..It absolutely means that things can happen during the benefit year and yes, I have asked.
The reason they can is sometimes, things occur that might prevent it.
There is a difference in taking it away for no reason…that is an issue…but when you have a brand new opening, then yes, I can see that it may have worked differently that specific day.
Whether you agree or not, you bought a product that said it can be suspended.
We are not going to agree on this.
Got a shiny name plate on them and everything? $99 goes a long way it seemsI paid for my priority access and yet most likely those that didn’t were given my seats … it’s obvious that what happened last week was in error. But even if there are 2 waitlists - one for MMB and one for peons, then there would essentially be no overlap, right? So when the peon waitlist fills, they might only allow the MMB priority waitlist to fill after that. Either way, if another MMB wants to be on the waitlist after it's full, it's not going to happen. If I am MMB and there are already 5 MMBs on the list, then where do I land?

Again, I haven’t ever had to wait and don’t plan on it…especially if it’s more than 5 minutes.
But if I did, and they said it’s 30 minutes but with MMB I will get you up in 10, then I’d be happy!
Unless the CM at the door specifically told you that the MMB waitlist is full, but the peon waitlist is still accepting people, I don't see how this is relevant.Nah I didn’t expect to jump other MBB, that wouldn’t make sense at all but I did expect to jump every non MBB
Sorry but contractually it doesn’t work that way …. Good advice .. I didn’t come here to argueSorry, but you agreed to terms and conditions when you bought and it was clear that it can come and go…
Now we are arguing… so I’m warning myself to stop
lol ok friend … point clearly is mmb gets prioritized over non mmb already on the waitlist … this has already been established that an obvious error was made by the cast member … idk what you mean by $99 goes a long way as that has not a thing to do with this … have a magical dayGot a shiny name plate on them and everything? $99 goes a long way it seems
What happened was the list got closed, so there was no place to add you. Had there been room on the list you would have been prioritized over the none MMBs. Get there earlier next time.
You should look into club 33, sure they wont turn you away when you show up. But I hear that there is currently a waitlist....
