Member update meetings?

Where can I find the dates for member updates? How often do they have these meetings and where are they usually located?

The member update meeting is a sales pitch/info meeting that usually includes a continental breakfast (juice/coffee/bagels). They used to be held once a week at OKW and BWV. I don't think BCV or VWL hold them since they do not have a Community Hall to use for the meetings. I'm unsure of the day(s) when the meetings are currently held. Anybody else?

Also, once a year in late November/December each DVC resort holds their Member Meeting where the budget is voted on and other matters discussed. It's sort of like a shareholders meeting. The Disney resorts usually hold their meetings at the Boardwalk Convention Center. Vero and HHI hold their own meetings at those resorts.

The meetings are Tuesdays (?) at 8:00am at OKW and Thursdays at 8:00am at BWV. As Pam noted, they are held in the Community Hall at those resorts and are presented by the sales staff.

They offer a nice overview of the entire program and there are usualy lots of logo give-aways as well as a door prize.
Members from any resort are welcome to attend the meetings.

I just went to my first member update and it WAS on Tuesday morning (at OKW). I was disappointed. I thought it would be more DVC info, plans for Saratoga Springs, that kind of stuff. Instead, it was a slide show of all the "non Disney" places members can go and a pitch about "adding on points to do all these things." Everyone got a pin and they did a drawing for DVC hats and mouse pads and little gifts like that. Next time I'll sleep in!
