Member services closed @ 2pm Eastern for a special event!

I wonder if they are serving BLT Sandwiches? :lmao:

Very interesting. I called this morning to check on availability and said I would call back this afternoon to book and it was never mentioned that they were closing early....:scratchin

My wife was on the phone with them and booked 11/16 at VWL :cool1: They said nothing to her at that time.

She called back to check for another night or two 10 minutes later and they were closed with the annoncement...

1 week before the rumored announcement and a mystery closing... definitely hmmm... popcorn:: Starting to make me nervous! :scared:
 

Wow! That would have freaked me out a bit if I was trying to make ressies.

How is it that no MS agent has "texted out" what they are learning?
 
Because they aren't learning anything?

At least one other time this has happened the "special event" was that Disney's IT shop blew up!
 
We just added on at AKV last week and our guide told us to hold on to the paper work and not sign it because on the 15th they were learning about the 'new incentives' and would probably go into training on the 16th, so if we called her on the 17th she could tell us more about them and if we wanted those incentives instead we could switch the contract. Could it be it's more than just incentives? :goodvibes

We just came back and were told while at WDW there would be a big meeting on the 15th. Supposedly 4 to 5 big annoucements will be made. I called my guide last week and he would'nt give up any info. We'll have to wait and see. :yay:

My guide suggested I call this week as well as this is the shoulder of where we know about the old and new incentives. He also strongly suggested I not call on the 20th so that he is not "overwhelmed". I called today and the "special event" is going on at 2pm. Lots of rumors flowing about the NYC announcement and about the member cruise.
It all seems to be culminating in a perfect storm for a big announcement.

I sure hope it is a simplified 3-month window for banking points!!!!!:cloud9: :woohoo: A new name for the DDP "Alice's Planned Comestibles"???popcorn::

Deep down, I think I am getting a major case of addonitis at a perfect time!! I hope I'm signing some papers in a few days!

Great - every time I've tried to call MS this week, I haven't been able to get through! :scared: First off, it was me miscalculating the time difference between the US and UK :headache: , now they're closed for a "Special Event". Maybe I should give up calling and send something snail mail! :laughing:

Maybe it was just plain old training in what they do each day....kinda like when Star Bucks across America closed up early for employee training. :confused3

True - I close my call center down periodically when I have to do a mass training.....its not the best way to run a call center but sometimes you have to do it....but I usually do it when call volume is low - like in the morning....not in the afternoon when I would suspect their volume is high ??
