Member Cruise

MS says the decision has not been made as to what they will take this yr yet............I would suggest calling between now and Dec 3.

Wow, if they only accept points...that would eliminate a whole lot of people. Hopefully they will take cash as well. I'm still on the fence about this. Would love to do it but keep thinking I rather spend the money on a 7-night cruise without the threat of hurricanes.

If they don't take cash, we'll be out as well.

I think going to CC twice would be a great way to spend a cruise, and a day at sea to mingle with other DVC'ers makes it perfect, I think it's a great itinerary.
We're looking forward to this itinerary as well. We want a low-key, relaxing trip. We actually feel a little more inclined to book because of the intinerary.

The thing that bothers me most is not the no port call, but the spa being down. Sorry, but that would be what I want to do on my day at sea.

Basically this is a beach vacation at a high price.... I would love to go, but I am having a very hard time justifying it.

Ok,.... just to put an end to Bongos rumor...while on the phone with MS... I asked....

Of course you can pay with cash... all cash, part cash...

Thanks Laura...you probably just made a lot of people really happy. :goodvibes

Please note that ohanafamily talked to MS today and they said that the chart he had posted is not official yet and actual points may be diffferent. Guess we'll just have to wait and see when they post them.

This is good news...as is the allowance of cash as well as points! Let's hope they read this board and see that we think the cost is a little high and maybe they will lower it (yeh right) :teeth:

Because of heavy call volume associated with S.S. Member Cruise 2006 bookings on December 3, 2005, your wait time to speak with a Member Services Cast Member may be longer than is customary. We expect this to be a popular Member offering and apologize for any delay in speaking with you. We recommend having at least two alternate stateroom category choices when calling for reservations, as categories may sell out before your call is answered.

*One Reservation Point is equivalent to one allotted Vacation Point. Reservation Points have no other relationship with, or comparison to, Vacation Points and are established for convenience of reference only. Reservation Points per person are based on double occupancy and apply to 1st /2nd Passenger.
**Category 4 Staterooms can accommodate up to five Passengers. Please call Member Services for details.

Guests shall pay any and all expenses incurred if detained onboard ship or elsewhere at any stage of voyage because of quarantine, port regulations, prevailing applicable law, illness, or other cause. And the official points chart matches what David/ohanafamily posted a couple of weeks ago. Let the planning begin!

Come on... you know you want too.... Magical Milestones... how cool could that be???

I'm going to be calling in December 3. I'm already planning ahead for Friday evening, December 2:

1. Charge cell phones
2. Charge cordless phones
3. Create spreadsheet with all pertinent information for MS
4. Get plenty of rest and set alarm clock just in case - not that I'll need it. I'm sure I won't be able to sleep a wink thinking about 9AM!

Hi CarolA,

Come on Terry and I are going to try and book this cruise.

Beckie

Right now I am leaning towards booking with cash.... That gives me a while to make up my mind. I wound up cancelling last years' cruise due to conflicts.

I notice that 2004 was skipped--does Disney plan to have the MC yearly?
Does anyone know?
