Member Card?

I received a member package from Disney today. My resale closed about 2 weeks ago now.

When do I recieve a member card in the mail? Or should have I received it already?

I do know I can call to get it.

I closed back in March, and just received my member card last week. They said that had sent one out, but I never received it. I believe it is suppose to take about 6 weeks.

I don't recall exactly, because I had already called MS and gotten all the info I needed. But it seems to me that it took a month to six weeks after closing my resale to receive the card.

Unless you are going to WDW in the next few weeks, the delay is no biggie. If you are, I'd call MS and have them send you some kind of membership confirmation to use until the card actually comes.

When I finally called MS & asked where our cards were, I was told they should have been sent in my membership packet - they weren't. I was told a duplicate set would be sent right out. We received them 3 days later Now we are "official". It does indicate that we've been members since October, 1991, assume it runs with when it was originally sold.

I am not headed to WDW anytime soon. I actually also got through ROFR in March but took a trip before the purchased closed.

I probably wont be back for another year!

I'll just wait. I just wanted the card so I could officially join the club!

I haven't received my DDE card I requested in April either, I can just add this card to the list I guess!

Hi Everyone

I bought in March and had my closing June 7th. When I received all my member info with my contracts and books I had a temporary membership card which expires July 3, 2005. When I went in May I used it and had a little bit of a problem because it does not have a bar code on it and is not a credit card type. So the CM at registers didn't know what to do with it.

It is just a paper card that is typed/printed with my name, member number and expiration date. I called last week to find out when I would get my "real" card and MS told me within a few weeks from closing. So I will patiently wait until I get my card. I'm not going again until November so I have time.

Although I will be going to Florida in July (not Disney ) I was thinking maybe I would go to Vero Beach for a few days. Ahhh.....options are endless with DVC

As far as I know, the Membership card does not have any bar code on it. Mine, at least, only has a place for signature in the back and phone numbers.

The one card that you can use as a credit card on disney is the key room once you check in.
For discounts, just membership card should work. The CM doesn't need to swap it anywhere.
