15. "Forever" - John Stamos (From Full House when he marries Aunt Becky)

Are there any glaring omissions? What all do you think?? :bride:

Meg, your list is Awesome!!! I love every song on that list! However, unless you are incredibly lucky or have some great technology that will record the song from the tv, "Forever" is actually a Beach Boys song. Granted, I love the John Stamos version, LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOVE his voice. Back in the late 80s/early 90s John Stamos actually was the drummer for the Beach Boys, which was why they were always on Full House. But when i tried finding it I was terribly unlucky. The Beach Boys version is still wonderful, granted I am very biased b/c I am a huge BB fan. Anyways, just a heads up for you! Sorry to pirate: your PJ.

I actually already have the Full House version in MP3 form and it's crystal clear. I got it from Napster back in the late 90's - it was one of the first songs I downloaded back then lol. If you want it - PM me and I'll be happy to share! :flower3:

And you can pirate: anytime! :)

YaY MEg for getting your contract!!!!! You are an official Disney Bride!!!! Now the fun begins!!!!!

:cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:

Forgot to add some dancing bananas in celebration of getting your contract! here ya go!!!
         :banana:

oh and i'm glad to hear you do have the john stamos version of "forever"!

Hey all from the warm state of Massachusetts! :cool1: (no sarcasm, I actually feel warm!!)

I'm about to send the contract and deposit in, but I'm now (for the first time) teetering on the brink of not wanting to have my reception in the ballroom. I'm now worried that if my guest list goes down to its lowest point (30), I'll feel like I'm in a cavern.

I chose the ballroom originally because I didn't want to have to do transportation between the ceremony and reception. Now I'm kind of wondering if I should have chosen a different cooler place like the Atlantic Dance Hall. I love the Attic, but we want to boogie! I just don't see room there to dance without taking out a tricycle or something. :rotfl: I could be wrong though!

I wanted to check with DISbrides if I should think of changing. At the most I think our guest total could be 75, and the low of 30 with my gut telling me about 45. Any suggestions on reception locations would be great. :thumbsup2

PS - Thanks for the bananas!!

While I loathe ballrooms with the burnination of a thousand suns, I understand about not wanting anyone impaled on a carousel horse or something at the Attic. My vote is for Atlantic Dance Hall - at least it has some atmosphere, and it definitely has room for dancing even if everyone on your list comes.

Plus people could walk or take a Friendship boat over there. (It's only $250 to charter your own!) :thumbsup2

I am with Carrie - I think ballrooms are rather boring. I mean, this is a Disney wedding afterall! :woohoo: I think ADH would be more fun than the ballroom!

and make them ourselves. So I've been working on the mix. I wanted the songs to span the beginning of our relationship to the wedding. I wanted a mix of songs - the eclectic to the well known. Here's the first draft :)

1. "I Knew I Loved You" - Savage Garden
2. "The Longest Time" - Billy Joel
3. "Answer" - Sarah McLachlan
4. "Close to You" - The Carpenters
5. "Everything" - Alanis Morissette
6. "Stuck with You" - Huey Lewis and the News
7. "Just the Way You Are" - Diana Krall
8. "Never Gonna Give You Up" - Rick Astley
9. "The Way I Am" - Ingrid Michaelson
10. "Everything" - Michael Buble
11. "Better Together" - Jack Johnson
12. "I'm Yours" - Jason Mraz
13. "At My Most Beautiful" - R.E.M.
14. "I'll Be Loving You Forever" - NKOTB
15. "Forever" - John Stamos (From Full House when he marries Aunt Becky)
16. "Beautiful" - Jim Brickman feat. Wayne Brady

I just came across your pJ and I just had to say I love your list!! I just recently downloaded Forever by Jesse and the Rippers, lol. I like his version better than the Beach Boys (awful I know!)

I did CD favors at my first wedding. We put labels on the front that served as place cards. Our guests loved them!

Oh one more to add to your list. Have you hear the new Jason Mraz song, lucky??

Hello from the frozen arctic where last weeks low was -42. 3 months left until Florida!! :)

Some good things to update the PJ with today. I did manage to get in contact with Randy from LeJeune. I think the problem was that I switched my email address at the same time I was trying to get in contact with him (I worked as a music director of a radio station up here until this winter and I've been transitioning from that email to Gmail). So I'm all set for the morning of May 19th, before I have my shoot with the Roots! :thumbsup2

I also got an email from my WC Pam that my contract will be coming to me on 2/12!! I'm wicked excited :hyper: and can't wait to get my hands on the planning materials. I feel like I'm the last of the fall brides to sign the contract, but I'm sure I'm not... right? lol!

I've been really busy in my "real" life - I'm going into my last (thank GOD) year of college, completing my BSW (Bachelor of Social Work). I have to do a small intership this semester (100 hrs by May), Work 20 hrs a week, School and occasionally see the DF. Oh yeah and did I mention plan a wedding?! :upsidedow I do my field placement (500 hrs) next semester and I'm going to have to figure out a way to tell them that I'll be MIA for 2 weeks in October (one of them is school vacation though). :scratchin Haven't figured that one out yet though.

I've picked up a few things for the wedding. LMK what you think!!

I got this zip up hoodie for 10 dollars at Fashion Bug. I'm going to save it for the honeymoon. I've bought Rob an entirely new wardrobe for the h-moon, but I have nothing new other than my wedding t shirt. So yay! I'll be warm at night :)

See all that stuff there? I got it for less than $2 at Claire's up here. Unfortunately they closed the one up here and they did a 75% off deal. I'm not sure if we'll end up using the hair crystals, but it's good to have them just in case we decide to. The earrings are for MOH, Jr.BM, and FG.

I had originally decided on Mickey Mouse cufflinks for all the men in the wedding. The only ones I could find that I liked were 50 a piece. So we're talking 200 just in cufflinks! :faint: Someone posted that www.americanbridal.com was having a huge sale 50% off clearance. I saw these and knew I had to buy them for FOB, BM and FOG. I originally wanted a Patriots wedding so I'm trying to get football into this wedding in small things like this! They're small enough so they don't scream football, but we'll know they're there. :thumbsup2 Oh and did I mention - 8 dollars for each pair? Woot woot!!

americanbridal_2036_533233983.jpg

I originally wanted the Adirondack chair placecard holders that I posted a few days back. When I was looking on American Bridal I found these. They're pewter shells and for 72 I paid less than 30.00!

2 more weeks until I get back home! I'm sure I'm going to be wedding shopping while I'm down there and I'll post that stuff when I get back.

I've got a wedding website started with wedding window that I'm going to work on today while I have some time. As soon as it's done I'll post the link so you all can give your two cents!

Peace :hippie: , Love:love: and Go BRUINS! :cheer2:
-Meg

SOOOO much fun!!!!!!!
Is american bridal a website? I love those shells!!!!!!!

Thanks all - just one other question. If I can get the ADH, which I hope I can get (DF Rob loved it!), should I change the theme/color? I can't see the pale blue and yellow working in there - I'm thinking of just going with a sunshine yellow. I wouldn't really have to change much!

Or could I keep the New Englandy theme? :confused3 I think I like the ADH more than I'm attached to the colors?

I vote for ADH. Here are some photos to prove it.

Just as an FYI - there were 50 guests at our wedding.

Here is an extra photo for good measure.

There is yellow in the lobby.

We used chair covers, but if you use the chairs that are standard at ADH they are wood tone with blue material. Your yellow and blue colors might work.

Let us all know what happens.
