I am glad that you guys made it ok and that your dad is ok...geesh how scary. We have a ton of branches down. I actually manage and live in a house in a campground and Mike and I sat here watching braches come crashing down on camper's trailers. It was CRAZY! We just got power back last night...I caught wind that Central Maine Power (I think you might use Bangor Hydro)was at our local 7-11...I actually went to the store and sat in my car and stalked them...hahaha...sad but we were 4 days without power...it was crazy. we were going to go back to my moms house last night becuase it was SO cold here...good thing we didnt...we got our power back at 7:55 and she lost hers at 8:30! Im pretty sure that I would have gone nutty.

Im glad that you and Rob are alright!! we are all still alive and kicking that is all that matters :)

Holey Moley! You two had quite a time of it - I'm glad you guys got through alright and in one piece. I can imagine the coniption fit that you would have had had the power gone out again. Or at least the one I would have had! Especially with your wedding coming up so quick!

How warm did you all get yesterday? We were at 45 but the wind! Of course everything else melted and refroze and I've been ice skating around campus today!

I just stumbled upon your PJ, and you are getting married the day we arrive for our Honeymoon!! We are getting married here in Richmond, VA 10/10/09, and having our Disneymoon beginning on the 12th! We are even staying at (hopefully) BWV, as we are brand spankin' new DVC owners there! Maybe I can catch a glimpse of your wedding from the Boardwalk!

Can't wait to read more!!!

Awesome! Always glad to see another October bride -:goodvibes We'll probably run into each other in the parks! We're going to be down there the 8th through the 19th. :thumbsup2

Megkate!!! Please make it stop...make all this crappy white stuff stop falling from the sky...PLEASE:worship:

Ooh! I love all of your ideas! (I might totally steal the Nantucket basket, if that's alright with you!) Can't wait to hear more! :goodvibes

Hey all,

School's out! YAY! I'm on break through this week and back to work next week. So because I have time on my hands, I've been thinking about possible floral arrangements. A quick refresher for those who haven't been reading along - the theme is New England Floral. My colors are hydrangea blue and pale yellow. Number one...

Chris_centerpiece.jpg

I really like this one, but I'm not sold on having a tall centerpiece. I can't remember where I read it, but I read that a tall centerpiece disturbs conversation or something like that.

This is a bit smaller, but I like it. I even like the lily and I wasn't thinking about putting lilies in the centerpieces. I especially like the blade of sea grass. Seeing this has inspired me to put sea grass in my bouquet.. I saw it done somewhere on this board. Where - I have no idea :confused3

This one is really different from what I was originally thinking. Now don't look at the arrangement look at the flowers. It's kind of the reverse of my bouquet which will eventually be blue hydrangeas, yellow roses and now sea grass! I like the small blue flowers and the hydrangeas that aren't blue. It's just a thought!

So what do you all think?

BTW - Mikkel started a great group on facebook for DISBrides - check it out at http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=logo#/group.php?gid=57143396281&ref=mf Join up!

Peace :hippie: , Love  , and Go Bruins! :cheer2: (lets not talk about the Patriots WAHHH!!)

I like the tall one and as far as disturbing the flow of conversation, as long as the centerpiece is tall enough for everyone to see under - this should not be a problem.

Linda

I love the floral makeup of the first one, but prefer lower centerpieces, unless your reception is somewhere with really high ceilings. I like the style of the third one. FUN!!

I'm horrible at responding - of course it's alright! Steal away :goodvibes I bought my flower girl one on Ebay and my Program one at Christmas Tree Shop.

Thanks Linda... I can't remember where I read that. But what you said makes sense.

Thanks Cam! (Yay for your upcoming VR!) I'm not sure how high the ceilings are in the ballroom. Anyone? :confused3

I love number 1. Second pick is number 2.

That's the way I'm leaning. I saw this picture in the wish book.

Candleabra.jpg

And I was thinking of combining it with the first option. The Wish Book says this is about 380, but we know how reliable that is..

What do you think?

(BTW - Thank you for all your input!! :goodvibes )

I went to a wedding in september and they had tall centerpieces. It was awful. We couldn't even see the people sitting on the other side of our table si needless to say we had to take them down to even say hi to the people over there. Just keep that in mid if you want tall ones.

I like #1, but shorter. I also really like #2!!

Hi Meg! Sorry it's been so long since I visited...it's been mega-busy around here! Your planning is coming along so beautifully, I really love the jewelery and veil your going to get...I'm glad you'll get some more use out of your tiara after your wedding. :goodvibes Princess Meg...has a nice ring to it. I love the centerpieces your looking at, especially the one you showed the picture of with the candle holders. I can understand about the heigth distrupting conversation if their too high, but that's where you sit all the ex's. :rotfl:

I can't wait to see what they do with your hair during your hair trial....did you change the date of your planning sessions? I noticed that you said the 18-19 of May...am I going to lose my Papparazzi? :)

I hope you guys had a wonderful Christmas, and are enjoying your break!

I love love love all your Pats stuff! We need more NE brides!:cool1:

Ok I am going to make this confusing...LOL

I like the second centerpiece but with the flowers from the 3rd centerpiece...LOL. Does that make sense?

Hi Meg,

I like #1 the best but depending on the ceiling etc it may not work. #2 is my second fave and the colors you picked are sooo pretty!

Going to go get caught up on your journal!

Just read your PJ and wow your super organised !!!

I've only 4 months to go and havn't bought half the stuff you have.

Love the second dress !!!

We have the love heart sand container, we bought it from michaels on our planning trip - only cost $1.99 :thumbsup2 just need to get the sand and the other containers to go with it now.

Liking the yellow, thats our colour too, we also have the same favour bags as you.

Looks like its going to be a beautiful wedding.

Linz xxx :)

I love number two!! I agree with the tall centerpiece idea about it can be too tall.. one is very pretty too but just make sure it doesn't block everything!

Yay for Facebook!!!

On the floral note, TALL!!!! I think a big otherwise empty room REALLY needs the height of tall floral centerpieces to bring it down to scale a little and make it feel a bit warmer, kwim?

I'm sending my Mom on a mission to the Christmas Tree Shop!! :cool1:

I like the tall floral version myself! :)
