What do I have to do to meet Aurora in her blue dress?

I realize that she appears in pink because most little girls like pink, but I don't and never have. Aurora's blue gown is my favorite of all the princesses' gowns and I would really love to see her in it in person.

We have been to Disney World 5 times in the last 2 years and have visited Akershus for lunch/dinner 4 of those times in an effort to meet Aurora in a blue dress. Photographs for Akershus on the WDW website shows a picture of Aurora in a blue dress, but we have only ever met her in a pink dress. The pictures of breakfast at Akershus on this website also show her in a blue gown. Do I have to do breakfast at Akershus to see the blue gown? Is there somewhere else I can go to meet her in blue? Seriously, you have no idea how much those photos taunt me!

Also as a side note, Can anybody tell me if Maleficent ever makes an appearance for photos?

Hi! Not sure where you live but we met here in blue at Disneyland in Paris. Tried to upload photos but computer not complying!

I have never seen her in blue. We had a blue dress made for my DGD and hoped that Aurora would appear in blue also but no.

I have heard that she has made an appearance in her blue dress but cannot remember where that was.

She was always in blue during our first trip in 2003, both at CRT and Norway. I think that was more authentic because she is in blue most of the movie.

They changed her after that because starting in 2004, she wears pink in our pictures. We were happy because my dd's dress from the Disney Store was pink (they all were) and she was hoping to match her.

I think that "princess" merchandise originally had her in her pink dress, because when all the princesses were together, she and Cinderella looked too much the same, both in blue, so they made Aurora pink. Children's costume dresses were made to match the pink Aurora.

At Pirate and Princess Party, she was in purple.

.

That's what I have heard the reason is for her being in pink instead of blue - to keep her apart from Cinderella.

I know she appeared in blue in the early 2000s, but I don't think she has been in blue anytime in the last several years (at least not in normal meet and greet situations).

It really bothers me she wears pink since she really wears the blue so much more in the movie. hehe ;)

I have noticed, though, when you do online adrs and look up akershus, she is pictured in the blue in the photo.

Yeah, that whole thing with Cinderella in blue bothers me too; in the movie Cinderella's dress is actually a pale silver, almost white.
I guess I'm just too much of a purist, I expect Cindy to wear silver, Aurora to wear blue, Belle to wear gold, Ariel to wear pink, Jasmine to wear teal/purple, and Snow White to wear red/yellow/blue; as those are the colors they wear in their movies!
The funny thing is that Aurora and Snow White really only have one dress each (other than their peasant clothes) while the others have several dresses, yet Aurora is always put in the wrong color (I see it as wrong because she doesn't actually wear the pink dress until the very END of the movie).

I am glad I am not the only one bothered by this. I love her in her blue dress! I would love to see her in blue. :confused3

I don't think I've seen her in blue since 2002. Up through our 2002 vacation we had seen her once in green and the rest of the time blue. From our 2004 vacation on we have only seen her in pink. Even at the Princess and Pirate we were at she was in pink. It was a fancier sparklier dress but still pink.

The green was weird. I wasn't sure that is who she was supposed to be until she signed her autograph.

Aurora appears in blue in disneyland california & paris i had a gown made for my daughter to wear in paris hope it still fits next time in disneyland have one made last year still fits in pink she wore to tea with Aurora at grand floridian:cool1::cool1:
