Your brain is plenty fine as far as I have seen. Your wit is great too!

Yardwork done for the day, dinner for the Lord and Master and I have a whole half hour until my grandson arrives to move in for the week. Life is good!

Sweet souls are now washing my car but... unscrewed the tap on the hose and we all are drenched. You should have seen us tring to stenm the fountain of water!!

Four is NOT 4 times as hard as it is more squared than multiplied. No wonder you have such a fantastic sense of humor and youthful outlook on life.

Just kink the water hose about a foot from the end and then turn off the water. Been there, done that.

Have a great evening. We are going to watch "1776" tonight. Educational and fun, just what this teacher prescribes. I will tape the Tony Awards to watch another night, when I am alone.

Hmmm...but I am not fond of gardening (hence the giant weeds overtaking my supposed pepper plants). What do you call just mowing grass and working on landscaping?

TEminnie, my grandson just turned ten and he spends summers with me. He gives me a list of what he wants to learn for the summer and we do it. He just finished reading "Moby Dick" and we are making a brownie dessert that he had at a restaurant later on in the week. He is a self starter so I let him lead the way. I do not teach my other students in the summer so I can spend that time with him.

englishrose47, I believe the others are correct in that YOU garden while I do yardwork. While I am bloody from thorns, covered with dirt and sweat from crawling among the beds pulling the myriad of weeds, hauling buckets of water to where they are needed and other mundane chores YOU meander, with your sunbonnet and gardening apron, basket across your arm and pruning shears at the ready to pluck a delicate blossom for your brunch.

PrincessV, we will be at the Sports from December 9th-19th. Maybe we will see the lights together??

Lunch is over, reading is going on and I have to go corral some gifts from my gift closet for the upcoming week. That is the only thing that Madonna and I have in common, a gift closet (I think she has a room tho). More YARDWORK tonight. Edging the sidewalk is work, not gardening.

Okay all of you when I was in England my Dad had me cut the lawn with a push mower!! I didn't get to stroll around the garden with a basket and now I really do YARD work we dug we weeded and I was covered in mud from head to toe but that good Brit blood keeps me going at 60!! Incidently when I left home he bought a powered one.. No justice!! Goofy I have 3 official grandkids one step and about 2 dozen friends of theirs who all call me Grandma. The hose did not come off the turner offer at the faucet did water was shooting out from the top .It was definately a Kodak moment

Sounds like you are a great Grandma! (is that what he calls you??) My baby turned 10 in January.

Hey y'all, I got my new ATV today--it is red and it's pretty cool. I have only driven it in the driveway, but I am going to learn more tomorrow. (I always read all the manuals and they sent a "safety video" too so I am watching that.) Whilst I was reading the manual Abby's friend (who is a boy) and his brother called and wanted to come over and then they all rode it till dark.... they seemed to like it, so I think I'll get the hang of it. We are getting BA a small, pink one next week.

Rosie we had to do tons of gardening when we were younger as we had a 2 acre garden but we did have a ride on lawn mower so it was fun

Sounds like fun. I have only ridden a 3-wheel ATV back in the 80s and I forgot that the brake was on the handlebars so I went to brake with my foot and the wheel started to roll over the back of my legs. So stupid me put my other foot down and both wheels started going over both back legs. Meanwhile, I'm still cranking the motor and screaming! I finally figured it out and my legs were pretty raw!
