meet and greet?

I am just thinking of something with the meet and greets. We are going for my sons 5th birthday I was going to bring the matting of a frame of 16x20 to see if the characters would sign this or maybe even personalize it maybe saying happy birthday and there name. I want to get a nice pic of my son in front of the castle and then blow it up to 16x20 and put the signed mat around the pic. I am thinking it would turn out pretty cool.
does anyone know if the characters would personalize this. I will have an extra large sharpie since I heard it is hard for some of them to hold onto a pen

The characters will sign whatever you want them to sign. I've seen other people have photo mats being signed. Usually though it's only the 8x10 size mat. My only concern for that is where are you going to store it while you are touring the parks. You wouldn't want it to get bent or ruined while going on rides and stuff. It's a pretty big photo mat to carry around the parks all day.

the only thing I was thinking is that we are bringing our sons umbrella stroller with us so I would be able to hang it around the handles. The only thing that does worry me is that when we do go on a ride will someone steal it or take if from the stroller?

make sure you have a Ziploc type bag beside the one to hang on stroller handle in case of rain. would also hold sharpies and I would have 2

When my wife brought her matting for signatures (which turned out amazing BTW), we kept it in our backpack between two pieces of cardboard and had no issues. It was only 8x10 though. 16x20 would be a struggle to fit into a backpack...?

I've never done it but I've seen people do it just about every trip and in December somebody with us gave it a shot as well. She basically dedicated an entire morning to the meet & greets and signatures and when she was doe she put it in a one of the lockers at the front of the park. I can't imagine to think how irritated I would be if I invested all that time then it got ruined when I was on a ride or in a show.

We had an 8x10 mat signed a few years ago and I love it! We did keep it in our backpack and it worked out fine, just had to keep checking that it wasn't getting bent. I did focus on getting all our signatures the first 2 or 3 days so after that we could leave the mat in our room and not worry about it anymore.
