Meatloaf has passed away at age 74. No cause of death has been given.
I’ll always remember him for his songs and for playing Eddie in Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Rest in peace Marvin Lee Aday.

This will be an upsetting day for DH, he is a big fan. (Always suggesting Meatloaf songs for our song threads, lol.)
We got a pleasant surprise one night when we were in the Late Show/Lettermen audience, and he was the performer and got to see the MEAT guitar strap up close! May he RIP.

Oh man, so many memories. Thank you Meat Loaf.

To be eleven years old and have THAT song infuriate the mothers, but mesmerize the children.

I wore that album out. It was and still is a masterpiece. Heaven Can Wait & For Crying Out Loud are my favourites. Perfection due to his powerful voice (and Jim Steinman's lyrics).

Sigh. May he rest in peace.

And his fans were of many generations. I saw Bat Out of Hell when it premiered here in Toronto (2017). All ages were there. I met a fan who had come up from Ohio. She was staying for a week and had purchased three performances. Including opening night.

On her own. And in overwhelming joy. Could not have been older than twenty-five.
