Meatloaf RIP

So very sad. I loved his songs. RIP Meatloaf. :sad1:

That's sad! RIP Meat. He often worked with the great Jim Steinman, they were a powerhouse together.

They were talking about them on the radio this morning on my way to work. How Meatloaf always sang in a persona, too. I thought that was interesting but I’m just now finding that he was the topic of conversation because he passed away.

Came home from a long day to hear of both Meatloaf and Louie.

When I discovered Meatloaf’s Bat out of Hell album, I remember playing it over and over and singing my heart out. It is one of the few remaining CDs I still own. That’s getting a play this weekend. RIP

I cherished my eight track Bat Out Of Hell tape and nearly wore it out! One of my all time favorites and the louder the better. Thanks Meatloaf for the memories RIP.

Bat out of Hell is one of those "perfect" albums. It must be enjoyed in its entirety from beginning to end.

Although I never saw one in person (only DVD and TV), Meat Loaf concerts were so amazing. He was one heck of a guy, he will be missed.

I was going to joke that you failed him, then I saw the in law part and realized, someone else failed him.

I guess, in my DD's MIL defense, they were a bit busy fleeing on boats and trying to establish a life in the US during the late 70s-early 80s, to be much into music from here....

His mom didn't know Star Wars until about 10 years ago, so.....

ok, she's excused. :)

Meat Loaf became popular when I was in high school. Bat Out Of Hell was one of the most played albums, and I always associate it with being 16. I went to so many parties that year (Sweet 16’s are big here); everyone knew the words and would sing along, especially to Paradise by The Dashboard Light. Incidentally, it was the same year that Fleetwood Mac Rumours, and the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack albums were released. Memorable music for a special time in my life.

RIP ML.
Sadly lost to Covid.
