Along with the egg, oatmeal, worcestershire sauce, grated carrot, mushroom soup, a little liquid smoke, etc., I add a couple of tablespoons of horseradish, to kick up the flavour a notch or two. 
I put some ketchup and parsley in the bottom of the pan, so when I turn it out on a platter, it's on top, and looks good. Sometimes I add strips of lightly fried bacon to the top, before I pop it in the oven.
