Mears travel time

I will be going to the WWoHP this summer. I have never used Mears before, but I will be

1. How long is the ride from DW to IoA using Mears shuttle? If we want to get there before park opening (say around 8:45) what time should we make sure to leave?
2. I know that if you ask resort (in our case Pop Century) to book a mears shuttle for you, they can do that and set up the time. How early should we book (and get the time we want to leave) the day before? a few days before?

I wouldn't let the resort handle booking it. What I would do is dial "0" from my room phone the day before and ask to be connected to Mears, then tell them you want to go to Universal/IOA then next day, and tell them you want on the earliest shuttle.

They will then give you a pickup time.

Unless you pre-purchase the fare with your ticket or at MCO, you have to pay the driver in CASH.

You will share with other resorts. I really don't know how long the shuttle ride will take as we've always needed accessible shuttles, so had a private ride.

I was told that it takes about half an hour to get to US/IoA. But the evening shuttle can take a lot longer...closer to an hour or so because you have to make so many stops along the way..both offsite and onsite hotels/resorts in Orlando.
Call the night before to set up your ride for the next morning.
