Mears Transportation Question

We let Disney give us our transportation to and from the airport
and they gave us Mears transportation.
My question is: Our flight arrives @ MCO around 8pm, how long will it take us to get to BCV's which is where we will be staying?

It will depend on how crowded the airport is when you arrive. We’ve arrived in the evening (after 9:00 p.m) and used Mears in the past and it took about an hour. This includes (possibly) waiting in line, purchasing tickets and waiting for your transportation. If you have your vouchers, you’ll only have to pick up your luggage and go to the Mears location for your transportation. It will also depend on who else is in the van with you; if you have it to yourself (unlikely!) you’ll go right to your location. Otherwise, there may be intermediate stops. A few years back when I went to WDW on an “all girls” trip, there were four of us and they sent us to OKW in a Mears taxi. There was a torrential downpour going on and numerous accidents on I-4, but the driver took the “backroads” and got us there quickly.

I’ve found that timing definitely makes a difference and that the Mears ticket counters are more crowded during the day, particularly mid-afternoon. Evening seems to be slower.

Thanks, beccasmom. We were just wondering how far the airport was from Disney, and trying to decide if we should grab a bite to eat before we even left VA. I guess we will, as we don't know if anything will be open when we get to Disney. This is the first time we have ever flown to Disney, we usually drive, and this is also our first trip to stay on Disney property. We are looking forward to that!

Have you priced out a Town car verses Mears Transportation

and you would share with others on a bus.

however, it is cheaper to use a town car with the amount of people in your party.

Taxis would be more than a town car and they are dirty and unpredictable because you pay the meter rate. If you get caught in traffic it could cost you.

There are only 2 of us. So Mears would be cheaper. Plus, we have already paid for them thru Disney.

Mears is not that bad. You do have to be a bit patient because the service is not immediate and you may make intermediate stops. I used Mears when I arrived at MCO before the rest of my party so it was definitely cheaper for one person to use Mears than a town car. I had to stop at 2 other hotels before my hotel. Have a great trip.

Has anyone used a Mears Towncar?? They seem to be more expensive than other town-car companies.
