Mears to Universal

Has anyone taken Mears to Universal lately? I'm planning on taking it from the CBR to Universal, and back of course. I'm not too concerned about the pick up time in the morning, but I'm wondering about the return times. When I last went to Universal three years ago, I had to call about an hour in advance to get a bus, and the return times were every hour on the half hour. Does anyone know if they still do it this way? If so, do you remember what time you left Universal at?

We used Mears this past April . Still functions the same way...call them an hour or so before you want to leave Universal. We were picked up by Mears at 8:00 am at the Contemporary, and we left the park at 4:00 pm. I believe all of the resorts have a Mears phone. Call the day before to arrange a pick up time.

I wound up calling Mears today. I was told that the pick up time is either 7:00, 8:00, or 9:00 am. Return time is every hour on the half hour. You can either make a reservation for the return time in advance, or call an hour or two before you are ready to leave.

It costs around $15 round trip.

Hi Karen,

I was in Disney October 2002, and I used Mears and payed for a r/t fare to and from the airport. The day we left it was raining, and mears was notified 48 hours before I checked out, but they never picked us up at the hotel, which was the C. Springs resort. we had the bell staff call them 3 times. we had to hop a cab because we were going to miss the flight home. I will not use Mears again!!!!
I will be in Disney Christmas for 10 days, and I been looking for the best deals for transportation, because we are going to universal, ioa, and sea world on three different days. The best I found is around 75.00r/trip. Any help on this would be appreciated!

I have heard of others who have not gotten picked up by Mears on their way back to the airport. I actually did have a problem with them when I took them from Universal onetime--the bus wasn't there when they said they would be to take us back to the hotel. There were about 30 people waiting, and we were all bombarding Mears with calls from our cell phones. I plan on using them to go to Universal because I don't want to spend the money to take a towncar.
