How long is reasonable to expect the Uber/Lyft to take getting back to airport? Meaning when should you actually order it for pickup? I know Magical Express used to be 3 hours and Orlando has always been extremely busy when we go through security. One time it was over an hour just to get through the line to get in the personal belonging line.

We ordered 2 ubers 2 different days from Disney last week. Both times the closest driver was going to take around 20-25 mins. to pick us up. It was fine, but just something to note... these were both late afternoon early evening requests. We ordered them about 2.5 hrs before our flights, had to wait almost a half hr for them to arrive and then on our day we hit some traffic, so got to MCO about 1.5 hrs before flight, but we still had time to check luggage, get through security, bathroom and grab food to go (lines were long for food.)

It’s myself and 2 kids; so cost is $43 which is around the same price as Lyft/Uber if Ride Guru is to be believed.

Our ubers to/from Disney last week cost anywhere from $35-$48. We did see it as high as $80, but a min. later refreshed and got $48. We wouldn't prebook Mears at this time (maybe if they start offering a large discount.) We feel the chances of getting an uber for around the same as busing or just a few $s more is well worth the guarantee of direct.

I used Uber/Lyft XL going back to the airport from Pop on 1/18 and from AS Movies on 2/28, both in the early/mid-afternoon. We had a driver within 10-15 minutes of requesting. Don't remember what it was in Jan but last weekend it was $42 with Lyft XL. We had two big checked bags and two carry ons and didn't want to risk not fitting into a regular Lyft. About 30 minutes to the airport. I personally have never needed long at the airport but I know it does get crazy at certain times. We have precheck and only leave an hour for bag drop + security (and assume 30 minutes for boarding) and have never had issues. Without precheck, I would maybe try to give yourself an extra hour. I've heard you can always sign up for the free Clear trial at the airport if the lines are crazy and you didn't leave enough time.

However, those were for local stops so wasn't sure how efficient it is on a bigger trip. I assume there are many cars nearby the resorts or touristy areas. I'd probably play it safer and give myself a little more time than reported for the first time. thanks!

You can also use the scheduling feature and set up a ride ahead of time for a time you want. I’ve used this a few times in other areas and found the drivers were always on time or early!

There are plenty of cars available at the airport and in/near Disney at all times of day.

any issues with number of pieces of luggage? family of five: 5 carryons plus a small personal item that could be put in the carry on after we land. Plus 2 bigger checked bags.

We are booking Mears for a stay later this month. We are changing resorts, we use two ECV’s, so we are willing to forego the grocery stop. Last minute reservation couldn’t get 4 nights at any one resort.

We used Mears Feb 26 at 7:30 PM to BWV and March 2 from GF at 1. Both experiences were excellent!

I had more difficulty walking than usual on Wednesday and our Mears driver called ahead and a wheelchair and luggage handler was waiting at the airport for us. We didn’t ask for that, but we appreciated it!

took Mears last week for quick trip, the driver visited Coronado Springs and didn't shut the luggage door properly and two suitcases fell out when he started driving. One was mine. Security found them in the street at Coronado and they were brought to my resort immediately by WDW personnel. Have your phone number on your luggage!

No; they will send you a QR code to have them scan on your phone for both arrival and departure.

No; they will send you a QR code to have them scan on your phone for both arrival and departure.

And don't forget to check your junk email because that's where mine went! They will also text it to you around when your flight lands.

I don't think they can add a fuel surcharge to pax who already have a reservation. Mears can hold the buses at MCO until they are close to being full. They can add extra stops, either direction, to ensure buses are reasonably full.

Bumping. Hoping to hear some more experiences with Mears Connect. Big family trip in October and don’t want to lug 4 car seats with us so planning to use Mears.

I used Mears Connect for a second time earlier this month. The service was seamless just like the first time. Arrived at MCO just after 3:00 pm, immediately loaded into a bus, and arrived at POFQ just after 4:00. Departure was from the Dolphin at 12:15 pm and the bus pulled up right on time. Don’t remember exactly how many stops in each leg, maybe 2-3, but definitely reasonable. Planning to use Mears Connect again in October, staying at the Swan.

I thought I hadn’t last time, but when I looked in my spam filter, there it was. I always screenshot my confirmation on the webpage just in case, though.
