Good Monday Morning Everyone. Or is a good Monday morning even possible?

Well another weekend over. Hope yours was as good as mine!

My friend and I had a great time. It was like there was no time gone by - we just took right over and were back in the mid 80's! - Completing each other's sentances, brainstorming wild ideas, driving down the road listening to Adam and the Ants (don't bust on Adam now!!)

Funny difference between us - I love dogs and she loves cats. I can tolerate cats but she has always hated dogs with a passion so it's always been funny watching her in my house when I've always had multiple dogs.

I was wondering how she would handle my 5 dogs when something strange happened. After Reilly "working" on her for about 15 minutes, the next thing you know she is picking him up - cuddling him, carrying him everywhere. By Sunday she was insisting that wherever we go shopping that Reilly come with us!! Poodle mind control has won over another victim!!

Which brings me to a simple question of the day...

"If you HAD to choose just one... would you have a dog or a cat??"

I have a dog and she's a great dog, but truly cats are just soooo much easier! My kids play ball and we're out a lot and it's a constant thing about taking the dog, leaving the dog, how long can we leave her w/o an accident, forget all last minute go away for the weekend ideas........

If we had no pets and were choosing now, I'd have to go with a cat.

Well, when I started to DIS I had 8 cats (4 passed away last year) so I would have to say cat. Dogs are wonderful but I have no desire to own one.

Allergic here, but we have had dogs in the past. Only because hubby wanted them, Im not to keen on animals.

I voted dog, just because I love dogs. Even though I don't have any now, I live in an apartment, but have two cats that couldn't be pryed from me.

Definately a dog. I have both but have an allergy to the cats. I am tired of my eyes itching all the time.

Cat, because they are lower maintainence. We have 0 pets right now. I wouldn't mind a dog if it were a VERY easy going breed, good with kids, and wouldn't tear up my yard too badly. (High expectations, I know).
