Good Morning Everyone.

Hope everyone has some great plans for the 4th of July weekend.

Nothing going on here other than remodeling our bedroom

Here is today's poll topic:

A home video question...

"Do you have a VCR, Tivo or DVD player? And what do you prefer?"

I had to go with VCR and DVD, prefering DVD. Because DVD is part of the surround sound, and it is very cool to watch new movies with all the channels of sound.

Have both, it's a two in one..........we prefer to play DVD's as the quality is better

I have the works - DVD, VCR, Tivo, Digital Cable, you name it - the more toys the better!

I have a DVD/VCR Combo and a Tivo/Direct TV combo. Don't make me decide which I like best! It would probably be Tivo though.

2 DVD players in addition to a combo DVD/VCR. Yeah we have a few TV's in this house. I like the DVD the best, because it's much better quality than the VCR is.

We prefer DVD too, but hardly watch anything these days! Too much to be done on the new house yet. That is what we will be doing all weekend too! DH gets Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off as part of the holiday, so we should get lots done!

We have DVD players & DirecTV receivers w/ TiVo built in. We unhooked the VCR's a while ago because we never used them.

We have DVDs and VCRs. I barely know how to work the tv in the livingroom let alone watch a movie. The bedroom is not as complicated, so that's where I watch.

I said both, but perfer my vcr, but for a reason. I only buy movies on DVD, can't beat the quality. But I tape a lot of things on tv that I need the vcr for. Just have not got into DVD burning of shows yet! :p

We have both! I hardly ever watch movies. I'd rather be Dising!

We have both & I like the quality of DVD more, BUT DVD's get on my nerves, you can't just put it in & press play like VHS, DVD keeps giving options & you have to keep pressing "play" until the movie FINALLY starts!!! DD4 has the VCR figured out but DVD's what a pain!!!

We have both, and I prefer the vcr because I can't figure out how to work the dvd player. Only my ds and dh can get it to work, and even they have trouble half the time!

Have 3 DVD players (counting the boys X-Box), a VCR, and a DVR. Never use the VCR anymore.

If you include portables that can go in the car (and the one built into the car), and the ones in the computers we have 8 DVD players, 4 VCRs and 1 PVR (Tivo type for Dish network). The VCRS are pretty much covered in dust, except for my dd who occasionally watches movies with them. Otherwise it's strictly DVD for me. I also can't ever imagine going back to anything but a digital recorder to record TV shows, it's the greatest thing ever!!!

We have 2 VCR's, 1 DVD player and TIVO.
We mainly use DVD and TIVO.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I voted that I had the works. I have sky plus which I guess is similar to tivo? A hard disc recorder that records programmes direct from the digital satalite (it can record 2 programmes at the same time.) I set it to automatically record a whole series of programmes. I love my sky plus and my dvd player.

I have a VCR and DVD player, and I answered that I prefer DVD...but honestly, I don't care too much one way or the other. I like that you can just shove the VHS tape in and hit start, but with the DVD I have to set it. I use subtitles because I have some hearing loss, and I have to set them each time I watch a DVD. On the other hand movies on DVD look much nicer, and the subtitles are clearer. So I like both just fine. I think I may lean slightly toward DVD though.

I just have a VCR. When I eventually replace the tv I'll think about adding more toys.:)
