This is my second trip to WDW. Went last summer and had a great time despite crowds, heat and constant rain. I need advice on how to plan meals in the park. Just my husband and I for two days. Any advice? Please help, leaving in 8 days!

My husband and I share meals while we at at there. He gets hungry earlier and more often than I do. This way we eat a little more often and in smaller portions. Allot of the hotel restraunt meals are really big enough for two people to start with and they are more than happy to split the meals.

I have found that checking the menus at www.wdwig.com was the best way for me to plan meals for our trips. It tells you what each restaurant serves and what they charge.

I agree with jetmom. That is how I planned our meals. I also bought cereal to eat in our room. This worked out very well.

I second JetMom's suggestion. That was the exact way I planned on where DH and I would dine when we visited in May of 2001. I even printed out the menus from the restaurants we were going to and took them with me and looked them over on the trip down. I still looked at the menu when we arrived for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, but it just gave me an opportunity to think about what I would like to have at each restaurant studying the menus on the way down. :jester:

Also, if it's just you and DH, you may want to consider eating your main meal in the late afternoon (between 2 and 4). Many times you can get the same meal at most restaurants for the lunch price. But if you go at 5 or 6, you'll pay the dinner price. We actually do this when we go (our kids are 16 and 12, so they don't have to eat exactly at lunch and dinner time like smaller children do). It also helps to have a good, hearty breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage or ham, etc, toast). If you just eat cereal or some sort of breakfast cake, you'll be hungry within an hour or two. But a good breakfast can take you to mid-afternoon, with perhaps a small snack in between. We actually save money this way. Good luck and have a great trip!
