We just like the idea that everything is prepaid (except gratuities). Somehow it doesn't feel as expensive as paying out $100 or so for a TS meal. I know in the end it is probably a wash, but it is all psychological for me!

In the end it's actually more expensive for many people. If it's a wash, you have a lot of risk (illness, injury, have to leave early). There are others ways to do prepaid than the DDP like Disney Gift Cards.
