I know that if you miss your ME that you have to get yourself to airport but what about your luggage?

We are thinking about a 2 PM ADR at CP and our ME would be at 4:30. And if I had to to get to airport life would go on but what happens to our luggage. Not planning on missing ME to abuse luggage services, I just wanted to know if it would be lost.

Thanks

Luggage services (RAC) is separate from ME. As long as you get your checked luggage to RAC in time (at least 3 hours before your flight and between the hours of 5am-1pm), it doesn't matter if you use ME, rental car, taxi, or walk to get yourself (& carryon luggage) to MCO.

And if your are not using RAC you would need to bring your luggage with you.

Great, I did not know any of that. Last year we did not bring any checked luggage and took a rental car back to the airport so we printed our boarding passes at the airport this seems so much better!!!

BTW, RAC can print your boarding pass, as (I'm pretty sure) the front desk of the hotel.

That really is a late ADR to be back at the hotel for ME. I would either change the ADR or plan on not taking ME. A 2pm ADR does not mean you will be seated at 2pm.

I'll second this. It would take a miracle for you to make it on time. It will take you an hour to eat, minimum. You should either reschedule your ADR or plan on taking a taxi directly from MK, although that will mean taking your carry on luggage with you, which could be a problem.

Where are you staying??? If you have a DME pickup time of 4:30, you need to be back at your resort around 3:45ish to get your carryon bags from Bell Services/Luggage Assistence. Then, there is bound to be someone that just has to use the bathrooms!! Or that last minute run to the gift shop. Happens every time!
You need to be out at the bus stop no less than 15 mins before your designated pickup time. You may 'think' your pickup time will be about 4:30, but it could be a bit earlier depending on the resort and what other stops the bus will make.

So, even if you get seated promptly at 2 (which never happens) and it takes you just an hour to eat (again, not common at this restaurant), you still have to get from MK back to your resort for 3:45...cutting it kinda close.

As noted, you should check your bags at your resort that morning. You can do it as early as 5am if you want..I usually do mine about 6:15/6:30ish. Then, if you find you are running too late to get back to the resort, you can always get a cab back to the airport...as long as you have no reason to return to your resort (carryons).

RAC opens at 5:00 am, but you can't check your bags more than 12 hours before your flight. I'm guessing that the OPs flight leaves about 7:30 pm, so they wouldn't be able to check their bags until 7:30 am.

True, but there have been reports from guests saying that they were allowed to use RAC for their bags more than 12 hrs before flight departure. I don't think it's a good idea to count on that though. If your flight is at 7:30, then head to RAC by 7:30 to be safe.
