Anyone know how this works? My DD21 is joining us for the last 3 days of our trip and will be staying with DH, DD18 and I. I'm told that I have to add her to our entire stay ($15 per night). I'm not worried about that because it is still cheaper than other transport to the resort. Plus, she'll be able to leave with us and won't have to worry about getting her bags.

My question is how do I get her the right Magical Express tags. She will be arriving & leaving on different flights than us. I'm sure that others have had to deal with this. When talking with Disney, they didn't know how I would handle this. I plan on calling back to get a different CM to see if they have more info, but thought I'd come where the experience is!

Thanks for any help you can give me.

If you don't want to add her to the entire stay, you could split your stay into two reservations. The first few days in one reservation, then a new reservation with her added. That would cut back on the cost. You could then request the reservations to be linked and you probably wouldn't have to move, just get new room cards. (Now if you have tickets and dining plan, that may be a whole nother problem).

Then on your first reservation make ME reservations for arrival only for the folks arriving.

Then on your second reservation, make arrving ME reservations for your daughters flight. They may send tags and vouchers for all of you, but just discard the ones you don't need.

Then for the departure, make the needed reservations for each of you for the flight times home. Double check with your resort desk a couple days before you leave to make sure they have them all correct. (Or if your flight times are very close and you all want to go to the airport together, then just make the ME reservations for the earliest flight, then the folks on the later flight will just have a little extra time in the airport).

I am thinking that when it comes to the ME luggage tags, as long as they are all part of the same reservation, it doesn't matter what flight she is on. The baggage handlers at MCO just look for a yellow tag and then set them aside for the ME people. They then scan the barcode, get the proper routing information and then send them along. The flight numbers are just for reference (as far as I know) and for anticipatinig how many bags they will be getting at any one time so they can schedule manpower, trucks, etc.

If you call the folks at ME (I don't have it - sorry) they should be able to tell you for sure.

As for teh return trip - doesn't matter for tags - you don't use them - unless you want your luggage to go right back to the resort!!

Call DME directly at 866-599-0951. As long as your trip is within 60 days from now, they can handle it. If not, wait until you're within that 60 day window. The CMs at CRO know a lot about resort and dining reservations, but leave the DME stuff to the DME experts. They'll hook you up, no problemo!

Thanks everyone. I called back to Disney and they were able to add the additional information for my DD who is arriving later in the trip. She did get added to the entire stay but has separate ME info. I didn't want to split the stay because I got an AP discount and wasn't taking any chances on them screwing anything up by cancelling it accidentally or something. It was still cheaper to add her to the entire trip and have her use ME than to have her use some other kind of transportation. Plus, this way she can head back to the airport with us on ME. Thanks again.
