ME and AAA room reservation

I have a AAA room-only reservation for 8/24-826, then a MYW package from 8/26-9/1. I did not sign up for ME for either reservation, since the plan was to drive down. However, I was able to book a reasonable airfare, so now will be flying down on 8/24.

How do I go about adding ME to my current AAA room-only reservation? Do I just call ME directly, or do I have to go through AAA? I know that CRO doesn't have my AAA room-only reservation in their system, and they won't be able to help me.

Of course, I like to do things on-line (Booked my AAA rate on-line as well as my MYW package on-line), but could not find anywhere on the disneyworld.com web site OR the aaa.com web site where I could add a ME reservation to my room reservation.

Looks like you have to call AAA. From what I've read, you may encounter some hurdles in doing so ... since you booked online, no one agent will feel obligated to spend his/her time on a commission he/she is not earning. Hopefully, you'll get a team player on the phone.

But first, you could try calling DME directly at 866-599-0951. They aren't supposed to deal with you directly, but they just might anyway.

By the way, CRO absolutely has your room-only reservation in their system, they just won't grant you access to it. Your travel agent "owns" your reservation until you check-in.

DME will probably tell you they can't help because there was no DME on the reservation and they can't adjust it. If AAA works like CAA than they should have a customer service number (a 1-800 number), while the call center agents do make new reservations they also have to service existing reservations, including those made online. It would be helpful when you called there to have a AAA booking number not just the disney confirmation number. (assuming you were given one). I think you would have a better chance than calling a local lcation. Many agents (besides it being a commission issue) don't like to touch someone else's ressie due to liability issues.

We didn't have any problems with this.

Email or fax your flight itinerary to your TA with a request to add ME to your reservation.

Last year we didn't get our ME info and went through AAA for our reservation and had a split stay. When I didn't get any info from ME I called ME myself to be told they did not have my information in the system. I did not tell them I had a reservation with AAA I just explained the split reservation and gave them one of the reservation numbers and they put in all the information for me. I got the packet really quickly after that too and it didn't go to my AAA agent first either. Hopefully it is the same this year for you.

I guess that's the issue, I don't really *have* a specific agent, since I booked on-line. I drove over to the AAA office this afternoon, and what do you know? They moved their office to another location! Oh well, I will try to go to the new location tomorrow in person. Thanks everyone for the info. I was hoping I could just call ME directly, but I'll try to go through AAA first.

I should've learned my lesson last year when I booked via AAA on-line for AKL concierge and then when I called to make my Sunrise Safari reservation, noone seemed to be able to verify that I had an AKL concierge room-only reservation.
