MDR Private Table

When first booking the cruise, we asked for a private table during dinner (late seating). When we get on the ship today how would I go and confirm a private table (other than just showing up at dinner by ourselves lol).

Your Navigator will have a post about where to go make dining changes and what times they are doing that. I did that on the Wonder and the spot was in Triton's. There were 3 tables set up for different types of things. My private table was not in the system, but they were able to easily change it for me.

We usually check on our MDR situation right after or right before our embarkation lunch. They always find a way to get us a private table if we don't already have one. As said before, a head waiter is posted in one of the MDR to take requests.

I always confirm my private table as I board the ship. As a previous poster has mentioned the Navigator will indicate here to go to make dining changes and/or Palo/Remy reservations and that's where you can confirm if you have your private table.

Not really. Unless you're concierge. Concierge always defaults to their own personal table.

I always like to throw in the reminder that there really is no such thing as a "Private Table" other than those booth things in Enchanted Garden in the same way you would find them in a land-based restaurant. Sure they might be separated, but there may be less than a foot between them in some cases - especially because the dining rooms were built around the shared table set-up that used to be the standard for cruises. There is only so much space in which they can put the tables, so the more people demand their own private table, the less space there gets to be in between them. More than once we've had a party at the table next to ours try to start up conversation without even raising their voice.

You can call Disney and request to have a table for just your party. It's just a request but ours was always given.
