MDE.. WHAT THE HECK!!

I am so fed up with the My Disney Experience app. I have been trying to complete the early hotel check in on the app for a week now. I’ve tried it on my phone and ipad and every time it tells me it has technical difficulties! I thought maybe it was my devices so I went to my desktop computer and it won’t even get me far enough to let me look at my plans on there! Every time it makes me try and sign in again and keeps kicking me out of the system. I’m at a loss here... anyone else had this many issues with MDE? Feel like it’ll be even more of a nightmare when I try and do fastpasses.

Try an incognito browser and see if that makes a difference. MDE sucks even on good days.
 
I'm having a similar issue. I'm getting an email saying they've updated my check-in details, but MDE keeps telling me I need to start my check-in and then giving me a technical error when I do it. I can't tell for sure if they have my details or not. I tried the Incognito window as the above poster mentioned, but I still got an error. I probably should just call in the end. but what a pain.

I can't log into my account from my laptop without doing this all the time now. Very strange, but thanks to this board, I can now log in.

Incognito browser really just hides your cookies from the website that you're browsing. You can try clearing your cookies in your browser and that may clear things up for you so that you can use the MDE website without having to go icognito every time.

Exactly. The sites not great but issues like this usually goes back to the users device. Either the browser setting, not clearing cache/history etc.

Tried that and it still didn't work. I just know that for this website, I have to go to icognito every time. No biggie. I'm sure that there is something else I can do, but I'm not quite that computer literate -- I just know enough to be dangerous. :rotfl2: :surfweb:

If it was the users device, so many people wouldn't be having issues. It is Disney IT.

I was having similar issues. Kept trying to check in using the app on my phone and getting the technical difficulties blurb. I tried a different credit card to keep on file and then it worked! Last year our card expired so I updated MDE with the new expiration date. But, there is a glitch somewhere with that. For example, mobile ordering wouldn’t work for us, said the card was declined. There is nothing wrong with the card. For some reason the system is picking up the old date of the card, even though I can see the new date in my profile. I haven’t had the energy to call IT about it.
 
I’ve had a lot of problems with MDE over the years on both IPhone & desk stop. When I ultimately call MS (whether it’s directly to Disney or DVC) to complete the task I went online for, I will tell them the problem(s) I had past & present but I’m always told the same thing, “ IT says they are not getting a lot of complaints so the issue has to be on my end.”

Have you deleted the card and then add it back as a new card? I work for a Utility company and we occasionally have this issue with our customers at our company. I tell our customer service department that when a customers CC expires to tell them to first delete the old card and then add the new card from scratch. When you update a card, it does not always clear out the old information and leaves "bread crumbs" behind that can mess the customers record up.
I do this with all my personal cards that I have on file at any online site.

I’m having same login issue in Chrome. Tried Internet Explorer and works fine. So strange.
 
Yup. Can’t make an on line payment. I go through all of the info and then it says can’t process. It’s maddening. I’ve been trying for a week.
