When fasrpasses opened for Ana and Elsa, I made reservations for a party of 5. There was a five minute gap in our reservations. One was for three people (from 1:15-2:15). The other was for two people (from 1:20-2:20). Everything was looking great. Last night, I rearranged the times for my other two FPs using the app on an iPhone. I went to copy my changes to the rest of my party. I got to a screen that said "you are all set!". But, what I didn't realize was that the app also tried to copy my A & E time over to the rest of my party. Since it was not available, the app automatically dropped the A&E FPs for everyone except me and gave everyone else in my party Enchanted tales with Belle FPs. It never asked me to confirm the changes like it does on the desktop version of MDE. It just did it.

No one at the resort or Magic Kingdom was able to help me. I tried to call tech support. After waiting on hold for 10 minutes, I started to describe my problem and got disconnected. So, it looks like it's gone for us. I do have a screen shot of where it says "you are all set!" but, I don't think it will help. So, I'm not even going to attempt it.

So, if you've made it this far, be very careful when making changes on the MDE app. There is something very wrong with it and you may get unexpected results!

The web site is much more powerful than the app. The app is limited to what you can do and how it functions. Given the option, always go to the web site (even on a smart phone)

Wow, that sucks!

I was playing around on MDE yesterday and found an open spot for A&E this afternoon, so you may get lucky (long gone now). Keep checking

This is exactly what my plan is. I have heard nightmares related to the app but the website seems ok, for the most part. I will use the website and not the app at all

Thank you for sharing this, I will be making mine through the computer.I'm so sorry about your fast pass for A&E.. I heard they may be releaseing some the day of so hopefully fingers crossed you can snag those!

Yeah, I've got to say that the app is BARELY good enough for arranging FP+s *while* you're at the park. Otherwise I use the app for "read-only" purposes only.

For all pre-planning I'd use the website only.

Maybe they were mine ;-)

This was a surprise trip. Fortunately, I didn't tell the kids anything about it.

We'll get to A&E next time, I guess.

That is a bummer! I've found the app to be a bit cantankerous, but didn't realize just how grumpy it can be.

Thank you for sharing so we don't do the same thing.

That is unacceptable IMO. I would call until you get results. Nobody should have to pay what Disney charges and lose Fast passes that they've already booked.

This happened to me too. I booked at our 60 day window and didn't have overlapping times, and when the website wouldn't "copy" I tried the app and got the you're all set message as well, not knowing that it replaced the other A&E fast passes :( Called in and emailed Disney and was told there was nothing they could do except talk to guest relations the day of. This was several weeks ago and I just happened to check on a day that more FP opened up so I snagged some, but I totally get your frustration. It was really bumming me out. If all else fails try talking to guest relations when you get to Magic Kingdom, maybe they'll honor your screenshot somehow. But definitely keep checking for more FP, you never know! Fingers crossed for you!

Just got back from WDW and I had a problem accessing my Disney Experience aap while in the parks. I went to the front desk at my hotel to have them print my fastpass+ times since I did not write them down.

The thing is... it most likely wouldn't look like a glitch in Disney's system. If Disney can't see a "problem" then they don't know if the OP is telling the truth. They can't just be giving out extra FP+ for this meet and greet as waits are already insane for those in standby. It's the same reason I can almost guarantee they won't accept the screen shots. They are easily manipulated. Plus, then people could just make a FP+, take a screen shot, cancel it, and make new ones. Which would given them more then the 3 FP+ limit if Disney would accept anyone who said "Oh, it must be messed up and here is a screen shot."

I'm not saying that I think the OP doesn't have the right to vent. Please don't misunderstand me. I'm just explaining how Disney might be thinking and how they will most likely react. Pretty much, if Disney doesn't show an issue, then they don't know that the OP actually had an issue.

The main purpose of my original message was to warn others. I could have demonstrated the problem to them because it happened at least five times to me. Every time I did a copy, it looked like it was successful, but really booked something else. After it happened the first time, I tried to copy only one person at a time. I had multiple unwanted, unconfirmed fastpasses throughout the day.

I think the thing that irritated me the most was their lack of concern. The CM at guest relations smiled and apologized, but it didn't "feel" genuine and it didn't "feel" like he was really going to do anything about it. That's why I posted here. It's also why I keep coming back and posting to keep it on the first page. I really don't want other people to get burned by it.

I am here now and when the MDE app acts glitchy or gives me errors, I completely close it out (not just exit out) and it has always come back working good.

This is why you should get screenshots. I know from first hand experience that CMs and the folks at Guest Relations are honoring these mistakes if you have screenshots. I lost all of my FP+ reservations one afternoon last week and a CM at a kiosk gave me a card with 3 FP+ "open" reservations that I could use for any FP+ attraction in that park (DHS) at any time the rest of the day.

Personally, the insane wait times for the meet and greets is Disney's problem. Guests should certainly not be treated "guilty" until "proven" innocent simply because the system is not showing a problem. They are well aware of all the continuous glitches and problems connected with their system. Until Disney gets it right, they need to provide a way to correct things for paying customers and if this means substituting paper passes then that's what should be done. Guests should not be to told there is nothing they can do. This treatment and attitude towards guests is completely unacceptable.

I have had a few problems with FP+ and never been told by a CM at a ride queue that there is nothing that they could do. I was given clear direction every time. I am not saying that it doesn't happen, but I suspect that when it does happen you are dealing with a CM with an attitude, not Disney policy.
