MDE to Poly

First time using MDE from MCO to the Polynesian. Does anyone know about how long the bus takes to get there, or if the bus goes to other resorts first? TIA

From leaving the airport figure 30 minutes or so...but sometimes it takes 20 minutes or so to leave once boarded. I was at the Grand Floridian in August and we stopped at Poly before heading there. I think it would have also stopped at the a Contemporary too, but it was 9 pm and only 3 of us on the bus. Me for the Grand and the other 2 for the Poly.

We don't have much luck with the MDE. On every trip our bus always stopped at Fort Wilderness, then Wilderness Lodge, then Contemporary, then Poly, and Grand Floridian was always last. Plan on being on the bus 1 to 1.5 hour.

We stayed at the Contemporary earlier this year and the only other place our Disney bus ever stopped was at the Wilderness Lodge. This was for both DME and the regular onsite buses. I can't speak to the route used for Floridian or Polynesian, but our buses never stopped there.

Last few times we stayed at the Poly we stopped at WL, GF, Poly then CR was the last stop.

This was 3+ years ago, but DME went to Ft wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, GF, Poly, and then Contemporary. It was a mess because there was an accident on the highway and one in front of the Contemporary. Drivers were being sent to turn around at Wilderness Lodge, so we waited forever just to get to the gate there. It took 2.5 hours after we landed at 10:30am to get to Poly.
I'm sure your ride won't be so ridiculous. But they did put all 5 resorts on the same bus. Poly was supposed to be last but the driver couldn't get to the Contemporary so he switched it up.

We went in August this year, stayed at POR, and we were the 4th and last stop. We were at our resort 80 minutes after landing. So even if you are the last stop, it can be pretty quick.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I most definitely know that the Poly won't be the first stop, for sure. lol I didn't know DME went to the Wilderness resorts first, and hoping our bus won't. But we're arriving in mid-afternoon on a Saturday, so I'm sure we'll be hitting all the stops. Oh well.

You could always ask the CM at ME check-in. They may be able to tell you what other resorts the bus stops at. It really all depends on the day. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.

We have taken MDE to the Poly three times, with roughly the same overall time from checkin to resort arrival, about 45 minutes total. I get a little antsy at the airport waiting for the bus to fill up, but it's never been excessively long for us. We have stopped at the Contemporary and at the Grand Floridian, on separate drives, before getting to the Poly, but not the Wilderness Lodge.

Last year we took the DME to GF and the first stop was Poly, then GF, and then there was a family of 3 left going to WL. Our bus was full and majority of guest got off at the Poly. I'm not sure if that had anything to do with the fact we stopped there first.

Our Poly stay is upcoming, staying at BLT we have shared with Poly and GF (and a separate time with FW and WL), with the order being Poly, GF, CR. Hopefully you get lucky!

I go several times a year, Poly is usually the 1st stop. Like 8/10 times. So it’s a crap shoot but usually poly 1st.

Ouch! In all my trips..I have averaged 3 to 4 a year..I’ve never had them going to more than 3 resorts. My stays have been DVC resorts the past 10 years so I can’t speak for buses that visited other places.

But I’m sorry you have had such long trips...
