MDE App was horrible this trip

I was onsite at HS yesterday & unable to see any of my FP on there. When I asked a CM she looked at it and asked me if I needed help booking FP because i didn’t have any!:crazy2:
(They were still there, just not showing up-:badpc:)

What a PIA.

After all time it takes to book fastpasses, if they don’t show up, what’s the point?

I am going in a couple of weeks so I was looking at my app and it said there is a new version. I ignored it, until I got a new phone on wednesday. My old MDE app transferred over but when I opened it it gave me the msg again so I clicked on it. It brought me to the play store like it was totally new and I needed to install it, not just update. So I did. When it was done BOTH ICONS were on my phone but the new one looked different. So I deleted/uninstalled the old one. So, the point of my very long story is that maybe the old version, unfortunately timed with your vacation, stopped working altogether?

Just got back yesterday and the app was very unreliable this past week. I was able to make and modify dining reservations most of the time, but our FP+ plans were almost never available. I had to login to the Disney website in order to modify, add, or view our FP+. I'm hoping they fix whatever the issues are before our next trip.

Because not showing up and not existing are not the same thing.
The PPs FP existed, they weren't gone. The AP is just too glitchy and doesn't display them accurately 100% of the time. The website does though. That's when you close the app, open the website and move on with your day. At least that's what I do. I really don't find it an issue to just use the website instead of the app. Matter of fact, there are a few things you can't do on the app period, like book dining packages for things like RoL, F! or now the Lion King show. Since there is never anything you can't do on the website but can do on the app (that I can think of) I usually just stick with the website and rarely bother with the app.

They might still be there, but if I can’t see them, i am out if luck since I can’t remember what I booked at what times. I have had trouble as well with MDE viA the website, even at home on my computer. The website is glitchy for me too. Seems to depend on the time and the day. The website is not very reliable for me, especially when I have a window of time to make or modify FP’s. Coo incidentally I am on MDE on my desktop computer right now, and Olaf’s head is spending a lot of time on the ground. Later it might be better. MDE is unreliable for me even using the website unless I want to be messing with it for an extended period of time.

In your case you probably want to make a habit of taking a screen shot of your FP
Others haven't found the website to be as unavailable, thank goodness.
I have not. As long as I sign in first each time, I rarely get the Olaf. If I try to navigate to the FP page before I sign in, I do find I get Olaf though. Even if I was signed in then went away for a while, and it looks like I'm still signed in. I know it's wrong, I have to sign out, and sign back in.

We're 9 days out and I've had a lot of the same issues as far as the details in My Plans (FP+/Dining Reservations) on the App not showing up unless I refresh and refresh and close and reopen the app. The website is worse for me though, I get that ridiculous Stitch ate my page more than I do a page that actually loads. It is frustrating. I'm hoping it's better during our trip!

I don't usually have an issue with the website, besides slowness, but so far this week for the app I have gone from only being able to see two of three of my FP+ reservations for each day to now zero of my FP+ reservations for each day and no amount of refreshing, closing/opening, or uninstalling/re-installing seems to help.

The app is only sporadically useful. I’ve learned to just keep pushing things to get to see all my FP when I’m trying to see our plans or modify. Also, it helps to touch the + to add a FP. Then back out of it and you see your current ones. Unless the app decides that you have no one in your party. That happens frequently. Then I switch to the web version on safari.

It also is tough to get to restaurants menus, especially for counter service if you aren’t mobile ordering.

Ah, mobile ordering. That is the one thing that the app does that the website can't do.

It may not fix it but try to sign out of your account and then back in. Even if it looks like you are signed in at the top. (It says "Welcome, Yourname!")

Yeah, that didn't work. I did finally figure out how to find menus. But we consistently (three of us had the app going) did not see FP on the app. Sometimes yes, sometimes 2 of 3, sometimes none would show up. It was really frustrating. Signing in and out. Opening and closing. I found the app to be a lot of work, which is sad for what should be a nice tool!

So if neither you nor the CM can see them, but they're still in the system somewhere, will the your Magicband still turn green when you get to your FP attraction?

I don't like the app at all. I'll keep using the website on my phone's browser (except for mobile ordering, of course).

Yes, I had taken a screenshot of the list for ease of reference & when we went to our designated attractions, they turned green with our MB

Same here. I just rarely even bother to open the app at all. Unless we are going to bother with mobile ordering. We don't often.

Yep, simply a display in the app issue. FP are not truly impacted in any way shape or form.

I'm mentioning this again because my cousin who is going with us on Friday was trying to view her Fast passes and couldn't see all of them. I told her to UNINSTALL and re-install the new version and it worked.

The app is horrible. They are definitely aware because I immediately got a survey about it during this trip.
