DH and I are taking my SIL to Disney. DH has his own account, as do I. My SIL has an account, but never officially registered, she's just been added as family and friends.
I have all my reservations, fps, etc planned. I decided to change 1 and was unable to secure a party of 3, but could get 3 single reservations, each 5 minutes apart. I created an account for my SIL in order to book reservation #3. Is it necessary to link everything to the new account or just that 1 reservation? I was starting the tedious task of linking everything, and decided to ask here before doing anything. Will everything previously booked for the old account show on her mb except the last single dining reservation? Do I need to get her another mb? She is on our hotel reservation so I have ordered her mb already. I'm confused. When I secured the reservation under her name, I used my cc so that's not an issue

I've just been through this torture with a group of 16 people. Some who don't have an account, some who do, and some who got accounts after ADRs were made and then it doesn't show up. Yes, you do want to make some changes.

1. The easiest way is for your SIL to allow you access to her account or she needs to be working with you at the same time so this happens fast.

2. Log in to both accounts (although this can be done over a span of days, I'm just telling you the most efficient way).
3. Just to keep confusion down, have your sister assign herself an avatar (profile pic) of one of the Disney characters there so you can distinguish it from the generic Mickey head or previous avatar on the "dummy" account. You don't have to do this but it made it easier for me if the names were the same on her new account versus her dummy account.
4. Go into your account's friends and family list and find the dummy account for your SIL. Click on "update" and follow the steps to resend her an invite. You will get a screen that asks for the email address to send an invite. Use the email address your SIL set up her account with.
5. Have you or your SIL watch for the notification for the friend request in HER account. ACCEPT it.
6. Wait a few minutes, refresh YOUR account, and now all the passes, ADRs, etc will change over to her new account (this will be confirmed by you seeing her avatar there versus what was there before. Then all those dining plans and fast passes will show up in her account.

I don't know if this was the most efficient way to do it but it's what I stumbled on when I looked for help and it worked like a charm. Took me some time though because I had to do it for about 7 people! Uugggh.. I still don't have it all right because I still have two accounts for my son. One of his ADRs at V&A is hooked to his old account and I can't get it to drop out for some reason so I'll have to call.

Hope this helps!

`My biggest problem is that there are 2 of them. My other sister in law set it up as family but she says that Sue never officially registered. In order to get the ADR, Sue had to have an actual account. On my MDE, I have the reservations under me, DH and Sue S. Smith. The account I set up for her says simply Sue Smith. Now both are showing up. Sue S has all the plans showing up while Sue Smith does not. I guess I need to input all the reservation numbers (including tickets, dining, etc under Sue Smith), but what to do about Sue S Smith? Or am I just overthinking things, and just keep the mb for Sue S Smith and the ADR that Sue made be the only thing not under Sue S. At this stage of the game I really don't want to call a CM and mess with my plans because I have all the fps, ADRs, resort check in set, etc, and I will have a mb for the original account. I can print out the ADR and I used my credit card to secure it.

So, if you go under Sue S. Smith's profile in your account and resend the invite to Sue Smith's profile's using the correct email address, this won't work?

This worked for me with the exception of ONE person in my party. All the ADRs, reservations, etc, transferred to the correct profile versus the dummy ones.

Yes, she is now linked but they both show up. Nothing else (including tickets) is linked to the second account, only the 1 ADR. I think it will be ok to use the original account with her original mb and just have the 2nd reservation under the 2nd account as long as we show up with the reservation printout and the credit card used to book it. It just won't show up on the first account's mb, I don't think.

So you did the invite thing? Because that worked like a charm in shifting all the tickets over to the new accounts. Then I was able to delete the other accounts and you would be able to delete Sue S. Smith once that worked.

I do have one account where that didn't work and I suspect that, for that one, it was actually a real account under a different email because no one can even control that reservation now that is made under it. So weird.
