MCO last Sunday a.m. not crowded

We flew back from WDW on Sunday on a 12:20 Delta Express flight from MCO to Newark, NJ. Due to horror stories of long security lines at MCO on Sunday late morning-early afternoon, we left WDW a little after 9:00 and got to the security screening area around 10:00 a.m. There was absolutely no line so we ended up sitting around the airport for more than 90 minutes before boarding.

Maybe it gets busy later in the day but based on our experience I wouldn't be too concerned about delays on Sunday mornings.

We experienced the same thing on Sat June 8. We arrived at the airport at 9:00 for an 11:25 am flight. We were at the gate and through security by 9:30! We had to kill 2 hours. Then we got to sit in our plane on the ground for 2 more hours due to the fact that we had no brakes!! All the remaining flights were full so they made us sit and wait. Luckily we made our connecting flight unlike many others! We also were on Delta and used curbside checkin.

Thanks for the info! We too will be flying home on a Sunday morning, but earlier, about 10am. Do you think we would have a wait earlier either?
